Diplomate in Public Health. Diplomate in Acupuncture National Board Certified. Licensed Acupuncturist Scope of this discussion is entirely educational. [excerpted from live workshops When you diagnose in a 5 elemental way, you are always looking for an: Aggressor element Usually when one sees a case one tends to think in terms of symptoms and that sets a trap, because one may end up treating the symptoms and not the basic 5 elemental design which treats cause. Example: Woman, 45, administrator in a large company, complains of headaches, stress related, comes off and on, one sided. Accompanying symptoms involve ST [dyspepsia, acidity, indigestion, heartburn, nausea, pain at REN 17]. Looks very much like a case of migraine. And we will think of taking care of her with a tried and tested acupuncture protocol: SJ 5 - GB 41 LV 3, LV 2. GB 34 Taiyang, Ying Tang etc Now the horror of the situation. Pt gets well but relapses in 3 months. So you look up notes, treat again, pt remains well for 4 months and relapses again. And asks you that interesting question, Doctor, why do I get this again and again?.

4 To SUBSCRIBE or change your email, click here: http://www.acu-free.com/prefs.html So why did she have relapses? Because her Wood LV is under duress by a silent and sinister... Aggressor element And who can this be? Well lets discuss: 1. Wood cannot be Wood s Aggressor 2. Fire is Wood s child, hardly a danger 3. Earth is actually controlled by Wood, can t return favor 4. Metal is capable of controlling Wood. Hmm, needs a second look. 5. Water is Wood s mother, cannot go counter to trditional reputation So who is it? Metal, a controller who can turn renegade and become Aggressor. Fie upon controllers in general. From the roof tops: In migraines Metal can be the Aggressor So if this is the case, in the matter of relapses one should check out Metal? Yes, one should establish with signs and symptoms, a LU Deficiency which later aggressed upon LV and became a LV Excess. Whenever LU Qi went down, LV Qi went up, literally to temples. Just treating LV was a stop gap, now treat LU and there are no relapses.

5 How does this profile look on the 5 e chart?? First check out the chart below for 5 e basics and then go to next page: KEY Green is Wood, yin LV and yang Gall Bladder Red is Fire, yin HT and yang Small Intestine Yellow is Earth, yin SP and yang Stomach White is Metal, yin LU and yang Large Intestine Black is Water, yin K and yang Urinary Bladder In health: Wood controls Earth Earth controls Water Water controls Fire Fire controls Metal Metal controls Wood Illnesses arise when control becomes injury. The main reason for that is a yin def in the controlling element 5 element diagnostics work with these 3 Qi dynamics Nourishing Qi Controlling Qi Injuring Qi Nourishing Qi runs all the time whether person is healthy or sick. Controlling Qi runs as long as there is no yin deficiency in any element. In illness: Wood injures Earth Earth injures Water Water injures Fire Fire injures Metal Metal injures Wood COPYRIGHT ACU-FREE.COM LLC ALL RIGHTS RESERVED Injuring Qi runs when there is yin deficiency in controlling element. At this time Controlling Qi becomes Injuring Qi. All illnesses occur when Injuring Qi begins to flow. COPYRIGHT ACU-FREE.COM LLC ALL RIGHTS RESERVED

6 To SUBSCRIBE or change your email, click here: http://www.acu-free.com/prefs.html Now the 5 e profile of the condition seen on 5 e chart: LU is Aggressor element on LV The Qi dynamics... Step 2. LV Qi went up Step 1. Because LU Qi went down... The 5 e picture COPYRIGHT ACU-FREE.COM LLC ALL RIGHTS RESERVED

7 5 e diagnosis = finding root cause Finding root cause = finding exact treatment Finding exact treatment = comprehensive healing with no relapses Another example: Man, 35, athlete, sprains L ankle on a regular basis, no bony or muscular problems on tests. Symptomatic treatment: GB 41,, GB 34, ST 36, ST 44, ear points Helps, man pain free, after a few months, a relapse. 5 e pattern: Ankle > left > tendons > ruled by LV > on GB >? What is Aggressor on LV? LU. Next step: establish with signs and symptoms, a LU Deficiency which later aggressed upon LV and became a LV Excess. Treatment: Reinforce these LU 9 Earth point on LU vessel LI 3 Wood point on LI vessel LU 7 Extraordinary channel point Reduce or sedate these LV 3 GB 34 Ear point LU left The 5 e chart and Qi energetics are the same as for migraine on page. Sturdy healing, fewer sessions, no relapses. COPYRIGHT ACU-FREE.COM LLC ALL RIGHTS RESERVED

Study the picture, think it out and then see panel below: Copyright: Benojeda at en.wikipedia ANSWER: EA case of flat feet or Pes Planus. Occurs due to falling of arche in the foot 33% of people have this to a varying degree. Condition silent but can cause serious remote illnesses such as hip knee and shoulder pain.
