Teresa Schmidt I am super excited to share this training segment with you and I am confident it will support your efforts in promoting out Units. Let s open up with a quote from my absolute favorite trainer, Tony Robbins: You see, in life, lots of people know what to do, but few people actually do what they know. Knowing is not enough! You must take action. Do all of you agree that you have to take action to promote out Units? What are a few of those action steps that we had to take to promote out our Leader? 1. We had to identify a future Leader 2. We had to create the desire for our future Leader to want leadership 3. We worked with them on an effective Party demo and sponsoring presentation, kept them focused, stayed in contact with our future Leader, encouraged them and as a result we promoted out a new Leader. It takes effort and energy to promote out a new Leader, doesn t it? WOULDN T YOU ALL AGREE IT IS WORTH IT! Let me ask you a couple of questions; did you ever take these action steps and not promote out a leader? Did you ever take these steps and your future Leader did not sponsor? (Yes) I did too. The reality is some individuals that we thought were future Leaders and had the potential to be a Leader, just did not want to take the action steps to promote out. There is another realism that I experienced with the future Leaders in my Region. Many of my future Leaders were doing fabulous Parties, talking about sponsoring and playing sponsoring games and yet we were not seeing massive sponsoring growth or Unit promotions. Today I m going to share 3 actions steps that has supported our team in promoting out Units. 1. three-way sponsoring calls 2. A future Leader team call 3. Promote out Parties After observing a Party with a future Leader, it reality hit me: my future Leader had fabulous Parties but, she did not ask anyone to become a Consultant including the Host. I realized at that moment where my weakness PartyLite 2013, to be used only for PartyLite business Revision 1
was, I was not teaching my team how to sponsor and specifically how to ask for a three-way sponsoring call. I put an immediate plan of action into motion. Future Leaders actively pursuing leadership are invited to our Leader meetings. At our next Leader meeting I broke out the nine future Leaders that attended and challenged them to set up three-way sponsoring calls from Thursday Sunday with me. On notebook paper I had the time slots available and they filled in the information for the three-way call as they set them up. Our future Leaders met the challenge and scheduled 14 three-way calls and 12 sponsoring leads became Consultants. The good news is six of the nine future Leaders in that group promoted to Unit Leader! As a side point, the three-way sponsoring call includes the future Leader, potential Consultant and me. If the future Leader was part of another Unit, then her Leader was also on the call and listened in. There are several benefits in implementing three-way sponsoring calls: These calls have given my future Leaders confidence in sponsoring and lets them know that they are not building their business by themselves. three-way sponsoring calls have provided fabulous mentoring for my future Leader and my Leader team Our Leaders and future Leaders hear how I talk with people. They hear the tone of my voice, my attitude, my enthusiasm and the calls taught them the words to say They learned how to handle objections In addition, three-way sponsoring calls have given my Leaders confidence in their sponsoring and as a result they have influenced their Central Unit sponsoring The result? Stronger Units! Stronger Units = MORE INCOME FOR EVERYONE! How did the future Leader ask for a three-way call on the phone? Most of the calls were with Hosts before the Party. Our future Leaders called and said that she thought the Guest would be great at PartyLite. Would she be willing to take 15 minutes out of her schedule to do a three-way call with a person that was helping her build her business? Some of the future Leaders offered a small gift for agreeing to do the call. How would the future Leader ask for a three-way call at a Party? * She would compliment the Guest at check out (a compliment might be she was fun, helpful, enthusiastic, loved our product or asked a lot of questions). After the compliment she would say, You would be great at what I do! If you could earn extra income with PartyLite, what would be something fun you PartyLite 2013, to be used only for PartyLite business Page 2 of 5
would do? (future Leader can share what extra income has done for her family). Can we set up a three-way call with someone that is helping me build my business? She ll be able to answer your questions and share additional information with you. I PROMISE, NO PRESSURE. We can pick a time and day that will work with your schedule. * The future Leader gets a couple of time frames and confirms a day and time with me. She then lets the potential Consultant know the time too. When I do a three-way call I use the JOIN THE PARTY Brochure and I always initiate the three-way call. There is a psychology behind sponsoring, therefore; we have to prepare our Guest s mindset and attitude and my goal is to bring the Guest into my PartyLite world. Before the call I don t know what happened in my Guest s life. I don t know if she had a bad day at work, if she was fussing with her children or had a disagreement with her hubby. I do know most Guests live a very busy and over committed lifestyle. The way I bring Guests in to my PartyLite world is I initiate the call by having her share what she loves about PartyLite and I prepare my future Leader by letting her know I m going to ask her why she thinks would make a fabulous Consultant. As we all know, sincere compliments always improve the mindset and attitude of people. We all just need to get into the habit of giving more compliments. Before I share what I say, let me ask you a question: do all of you love secrets? I m going to share a secret with you and it has to stay with us. PartyLite has updated our Join The Party Brochure and it is spectacular! The improvements include our Consultant and Leader profit program, a diagram of how to build a Unit and you can scan the QR codes and view two videos that focus on PartyLite s income opportunity! You ll have the opportunity to experience these awesome videos tomorrow. Today I m going to give you a sneak peak of this brochure and how I am going to use it during my three-way sponsoring call. You have to promise to keep this a secret. Next, I would like to share another call I do that has supported Unit promotions in my Region and lineage. It is a future Leader team call. This is a call I set up with the future Leader, all of her sponsors and the promoting Leader the month before she promotes out. Example: If the future Leader was planning on promoting out in August, I would hold the call the third or fourth week of July. This is one of my favorite calls that I have the opportunity to do with my team! We open up with introductions with everyone on the call. I share how excited I am for the promotion of our future Leader and how all of them play a vital role in the success of their very own Unit! We discuss the promotion requirements. I love that these requirements are referenced on the handout we received in our registration packet. Then I discuss each of their goals for the month and encourage them not to strive for minimums. We want all of them to have a successful and MONEY MAKING MONTH! At that point I go over the company sales promotion, including bonus and ask them what their personal sales goal is for the month. We discuss multiple ways to achieve their Party and sales goal, review what they are going to do to achieve their goal and train on additional booking ideas. We then set up a date for a team promote out Party which is at a restaurant or Hall, which I prefer. Some future Leaders have done their promote out Party at their home. The goal is for each Consultant to get 10 yes s to attend the promote out Party. We generate attendance by saying that it is a celebration, we ll have refreshments, play candle Bingo and have a Silent Auction At the promote out Party we include a mini presentation by the future Leader and promoting out Leader and they encourage sales, bookings and sponsoring. Every promote out Party has generated hundreds of dollars in sales, multiple bookings and sponsors. In addition, it really unites the future Leader with her team. My promote out Party outline will be on the Learning Center. The final area of discussion on our future Leader team call is SPONSORING. When I do a team call most of the future Leaders have two sponsors. We discuss how each person can sponsor one friend within a week. We start out brainstorming with them to write down a name for their four B s: Best friend, Busiest friend, most Broke friend and their most Bubbly friend. Next to their name they write down why they would be good at PartyLite (compliment) and how PartyLite could financially benefit their household. Since it is one of their friends they typically know their financial situation. I challenge them to begin working on their sponsoring list immediately and set up three-way sponsoring calls! Everything I do works together to promote out Units! I just want to mention that PartyLite will post my promote out show outline and three-way call dialogue from our new Join The Party Brochure on the Learning Center. Let me conclude again with the quote from Tony Robbins: PartyLite 2013, to be used only for PartyLite business Page 4 of 5
You see, in life, lots of people know what to do, but few people actually do what they know. Knowing is not enough! You must take action. I hope the 3 points I shared with you on three-way sponsoring calls, future Leader team calls and promote out Parties will support you to take action and promote out Units consistently!
