As a Consultant in Restorative Dentistry and in my own specialist private practice, I carry out the overall planning for treatments involving dental implants. I am then responsible for the restorative work, and in many cases, I also surgically place the implants. If I do not, I frequently accompany the surgeon to verify that the implants are appropriately sited for restorative requirements. I have undertaken implant training in several different implant systems, (Nobel Biocare, Astra, Straumann, Frialit and Endopore), and advanced implant training courses in soft tissue management with Patrick Palacci in Marseilles, and in minor bone grafting procedures in Halmstad, Sweden. I have also been trained using the innovative NobelGuide CT driven CAD-CAM implant technique in 2

Gothenburg, Sweden and introduced this technique into the hospital team within which I worked and into my own specialist practice. Medico-Legal Experience: Extensive experience since 1998 in medico-legal cases and insurance claim reporting for independent lay and professional clients and all three main UK dental Indemnity providers Also expert witness experience in regulatory cases. Approximately 50/50 split between work for claimants and work for defendants with a small number of instructions as single joint expert. I have undertaken training in report writing and expert witness skills and hold the Cardiff University/Bond Solon Expert Witness Certificate.
