ArcEquine small wonder What is ArcEquine? ArcEquine is a drug free, non-evasive sub-sensory treatment, which uses microcurrent technology. What can it do for your horse? Rapid regenerative repair to all tissue, including tendons, ligaments, fractures and wounds. Promotes effective dispersal and elimination of swelling, bruising, inflammation, pain and Lactic acid. ArcEquine can also be used for hormonal imbalance, immune/auto-immune deficiency (e.g. sarcoids), behavioural problems, stress/anxiety. ArcEquine is equally as effective for prevention and maintenance as it is for restoration. How does it work? Every cell within the body communicates with all other cells by means of a series of minute, cell specific sequences of electrical current. These regulate the proper functioning of the body. If there is disease or damage to a group of cells, things fail to work or fail to work properly. By re-introducing the current from an external source, ArcEquine kickstarts and accelerates many essential metabolic processes that enable full restoration in a fraction of the normal healing times with little and often no scar tissue. 1

What s in the box 1 x Delivery unit 2 x Leg straps with press studs 4 x Carbon rubber ArcPads 1 x Conductive gel (250ml) 1 x Unit charger 1 x User manual The ArcPads have been specifically designed for durability, comfort and connectivity. They are fixed to the leg strap with press studs. The conductive gel has been specifically formulated for use with ArcEquine. The contents comply with all equine and veterinary regulations and requirements. Use of gel enables electrical connectivity from the ArcPad, through the hair, to the skin of the horse. Registering your ArcEquine Please ensure you register your ArcEquine warranty at www.arcequine.com Charging the Delivery unit (Only use the unit charger supplied.) Insert the charger into the base of the unit, then plug in the charger and switch on. When the charger is inserted you will hear two short beeps and the left-hand button will indicate: Red: Still charging Amber: Nearly charged Green: Fully charged and ready for use After 30 seconds the button will begin to flash and will continue to do so until the unit is fully charged. When the left-hand button has turned green your unit is fully charged and can be unplugged. When your unit is unplugged you will hear a beep to indicate that the unit is now in sleep mode. Note: The unit is supplied with the Audible Beep Alert on. If you require this function turned off, go to page 5 3

Quick start guide 1 Make sure your delivery unit is fully charged. (Page 3) 2 Attach ArcPads to leg strap using press studs. 3 Turn the unit on. (Page 5) 4 Select desired treatment programme. (Pages 6/7) 5 Activate programme. (Page 7) 6 Connect unit to leg strap. (Page 8) 7 Secure unit to leg strap using the elasticated bands. (Page 8) 8 Add a small amount of gel onto each ArcPad. 9 Attach the leg strap; ensuring the spine of the strap, with unit, runs vertically along the side of the cannon bone. (Page 8) 10 To protect the unit we advise that you cover with a stable boot or bandage. Note: See page 9 for further important information. 4

Treatment programme indicators How to turn the unit on Press and hold the left-hand button for four seconds, you will then hear a high pitched beep and the button will light either green or red. Green: Indicates the unit is fully charged and ready to use. Red: Indicates unit needs charging. How to turn the unit off Press and hold the left-hand button. After two seconds you will hear a confirmation beep. The light within the button will then turn off. Turning Audible Beep Alert on and off l Ensure the unit is turned on l Press and hold both buttons at the same time l After three seconds you will hear three short beeps High-High-High = Audible Beep Alert enabled High-High-Low = Audible Beep Alert disabled 5

Guide to treatment programmes Each programme lasts 3 hours and should be repeated daily throughout the course of the treatment. If the unit is not switched off after each delivery period, it will reset after one hour and run for a further three hours. However, no harm will be done as you cannot over use ArcEquine. Please note, no two horses respond at the same rate, therefore timings shown serve only as a guide and after completion of selected programme, it may be necessary to reassess and repeat. Programme 1 Programme 2 Programme 3 Programme 4 Standard initiation Week 1 Weeks 2 & 3 Weeks 4, 5 & 6 Wounds/Tissue repair Week 1* Weeks 2 & 3 Weeks 4, 5 & 6 Pain Hormonal imbalance Immune/Auto-immune Boost immune system Eliminate Lactic Acid Psychological trauma Undiagnosed lameness Behavioural problems Competition Travelling to After event Travelling home Maintenance & Prevention 1 week every month 6 * Or until sound at walk, whichever is the longer.

Selecting treatment programme First choose the treatment programme you wish to deliver (see guide on page 6). If you are not treating a specific condition but using ArcEquine as part of a maintenance and prevention regime, we recommend that you first go through Standard initiation programmes 1, 2 and 3. Programming the unit At the top of the unit there are four treatment programme LED s. To select your treatment programme, press the left-hand button, and cycle through the LED s until the chosen treatment programme is lit. Once the treatment programme has been selected you will hear a sequence of short, sharp beeps. The number of beeps indicates the treatment programme selected. For example; Three beeps = Programme three. If the unit has already been used, the red LED will indicate the last treatment programme delivered. Activating the programme Once the desired treatment programme has been selected, press the right-hand button once and the unit will begin delivery of the treatment. Once activated, the left-hand button will turn off and the right-hand button and programme indicator will turn either: Green: To indicate complete connectivity. Red: To indicate no connectivity at one or more of the ArcPads. After 30 seconds the right-hand button will turn off and the programme indicator will begin to flash and continue to do so throughout the delivery period. 7

Leg strap and unit in position l Attach strap with the unit positioned to the side of the cannon bone l Do not strap to an injured leg l Do not over tighten l Rotate leg strap between sound legs each day 8

Troubleshooting If the programme indicator has changed from green to red during the treatment and: The left-hand button has lit up red. This indicates that there is insufficient power in the battery to complete delivery of the selected treatment. or The right-hand button has lit up red. This indicates a loss of connectivity. Either the lead has become disconnected or one, or both, of the ArcPads are not making a good enough connection to the skin to complete the circuit. Should you require any assistance, contact: support@arcequine.com Important information l Protect your ArcEquine from wet and damp conditions, it is not waterproof. l The use of microcurrent technology can cause some dehydration. Please ensure your horse always has access to clean fresh water when using the ArcEquine unit. l Use of ArcEquine is in addition to, and in no way a substitute for, your existing veterinary policy and practice. l A pdf of this manual along with further information is available on our website: www.arcequine.com l Don t forget to register your ArcEquine warranty at www.arcequine.com 9
