Delicious lunches are served by Fred on Tuesday through Saturday from Noon to 2:30 PM. Due to the rising cost of food, there will be a slight raise in Lunch Prices beginning November 1, 2014. Fred enjoys your Company for daily lunches. Please come join him and see the new menu, delicious weekly specials and just plain fun. Please support his efforts. The Club is open on Monday from Noon until?? (Happy Hour all day Monday!) Euchre every Tuesday at 6:00 PM. Line Dancing every Thursday at 6:30 PM. Please remember to carry your valid Eagles Membership Card at all times. DISTRICT #6 MEETING The November 2014 District #6 Meeting has been scheduled for Sunday, November 9 th at 2:00 PM. The meeting will be held at Aerie #526 located at 1332 Branch Street, Kalamazoo MI 49001. Our next REAC luncheon will be held on Tuesday, November 11 th at the Hibachi Sushi Buffet on the corner of South Westnedge Avenue and Kilgore Road, just north of Meijer. We meet at Noon. Hope to see you there. R.E.A.C stands for Retired Eagles Activity Club. Any Aerie or Auxiliary member over 55 and retired can join R.E.A.C. The annual membership fee is $5.00. Come visit any second Tuesday of the month and become a member.

R.E.A.C. ANNUAL FOOD DRIVE R.E.A.C. will be sponsoring our annual Food Drive for local charities beginning November 1, 2014. We will collect non-perishables, paper products and toiletries. We will make one delivery before Thanksgiving and then we will continue to collect more items to be delivered again on December 15, 2014. There will be boxes available at the Social Room Entry beginning November 1 st. Your support for the Food Drive is greatly appreciated! BUD ISRAELS SCHOLARSHIP FUND TUESDAY NIGHT BURGER COOKS We are still looking for volunteers to help out on Tuesday Hamburger Nights. If you would be interested in cooking Hamburgers on Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, please contact Sue Kean at (269) 270-1444 or talk with her at the Club for details. The hours for our Tuesday Night Hamburgers are 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A reminder to our members, anyone can make a donation or memorial contribution on behalf of loved ones at anytime, to be used as part of the Bud Israels Scholarship Fund. All donations are greatly appreciated, as we plan to continue with our scholarship efforts for years to come. ROOM RENTAL INFORMATION For information about the rental of the Activity Room for any party (i.e.; Wedding, Birthday, or Anniversary) please contact, Butch Weatherwax, who can be reached at (269) 271-1483, or leave a message for Butch at the Club. 2 EAGLE RIDERS CLUB The meetings for this group are the 3 rd Monday of each month at 6:30 PM at the Club. The monthly meeting will be held on Monday, November 17 th. Eagle Riders Game Days will begin on Saturday, November 8th with registration at Noon. Games begin at 1:00 PM. We will have Corn Hole and Shuffleboard tournaments and Hot Dogs or Sloppy Joes will be available during the games. Please mark your calendars, bring friends, and plan to join us for a fun-filled afternoon. Game days will be the second Saturday of each month through Spring. We look forward to raising money for our charity, Challenger Little League.

UPCOMING EVENTS R.E.A.C. BUS TRIP Our R.E.A.C. Bus Trip to Four Winds Casino in New Buffalo on Tuesday October 7 th was a great trip! Fun was had by all and even a couple of Big Winners. Congratulations to Milt Wooden for his winnings Thanks once again to Jean Stoughton for yet another great trip! You are greatly appreciated! CHILDREN S HALLOWEEN PARTY Thanks to Linda for another fantastic party. A fun time was had by everyone! Also, thanks to the Ort Family for the donation of candy and prizes for our Kids Parties. You are appreciated! PENNY RAFFLE TIME The Auxiliary 2 nd Penny Raffle to help raise money for the Auxiliary began on October 1 st. Sales are going well at this writing. Please stop in and get your Raffle Ticket (s) soon! The Raffle will run until December 5 th and the winners will be drawn at 7:00 PM during our annual Cookie Walk. The ticket prices for this raffle range from one penny to $5.00. Tickets are numbered 1 thru 500. The prizes are as follows: 1 st Prize $200 2 nd Prize $150 3 rd Prize $100 Proceeds from this fundraiser will go to the Ladies Auxiliary to help with the many expenses incurred by the Club each and every month. Please support our Auxiliary by purchasing your tickets! 3 COOKIE WALK COMING SOON The Annual Cookie Walk is scheduled for Friday, December 5 th. This is one of the Auxiliary s biggest fund raisers of the year. Auxiliary members are being contacted by phone as a reminder to bake up some cookies for the event. However, if you do not get a call, you are still encouraged to donate some cookies to help out. All cookie donations are greatly appreciated. The sale will begin late afternoon and will run through the dinner hours. The Auxiliary will be serving our famous Fish Fry Dinner by Carol & Gang! Please mark your calendar and plan to join us for a delicious meal and take home some great homemade cookies. If you don t bake, please come and support the Auxiliary with the purchase of cookies. There will be a small Craft Show along with the annual Cookie Walk. Don t forget that the Penny Raffle winners will be drawn at 7:00 PM on December 5 th. NEW YEARS EVE TICKETS GO ON SALE Tickets for our annual New Year s Eve Party will go on sale on Friday, November 28 th. The cost will be $30.00 per person which includes Dinner, Music, Party Favors and Champagne at Midnight. Tickets can be purchased at the Bar. Please sign up early to let us plan accordingly. The deadline for sign up will be Saturday, December 20 th. Please remember, you and all members of your party must be paid in full, before a table will be assigned for the number of people you are expecting to have in attendance. No Exceptions! The door will be open at 6:30 PM for ticket holders only. The band will begin at 7:00 PM.

AUXILIARY COOK BOOK SALE The Auxiliary is considering publication of a New Cook Book to be written and sold to our members and friends. Our Club will once again collect NEW toys for the Toys for Tots campaign. Boxes will be available in the Social Room beginning November 1 st. Deadline to fill the boxes will be December 12 th. Please support the Marine Corps and our efforts to help those children, who are less fortunate. CHILDREN S CHRISTMAS PARTY Our annual Children s Christmas Party will be held on Sunday, December 14 th from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The cost is $3.00 per child, Ages 0-10. Each member is to furnish a wrapped gift, tagged with the First and Last Name for each child attending the party; the cost is not to exceed $10. A Signup Sheet will be available at the bar on Friday, November 14 th. Deadline for sign up will be Saturday, December 6 th. There are NO Exceptions! Please sign up early as we need to have a head count as soon as possible for shopping reasons! NASCAR RACE PARTY Our annual End of Season NASCAR Race Party will be held on Sunday, November 16 th. The final race starts at 2:00 PM. The party is scheduled to start at 1:00 PM. This will be a Potluck dinner. Please bring a dish/ snack to pass. We plan to have a fun-filled day, so mark your calendar and plan to join us to see who wins the NASCAR Chase for 2014! 4 We would like to have Auxiliary members submit their favorite recipes by March 1, 2015, so we can build this book. There will be a box set up by the Social Room door for any recipes to be submitted. We would like to be sure your name is on the recipe and if possible, indicate the number of servings the recipe will serve. Any and all recipes submitted will be included in this book. Let s get those recipes together and submitted so we can begin this new project. We would like to have the book ready for sale by Mother s Day of 2015. Please help by submitting your recipes as soon as possible. CHRISTMAS CARDS TO GO ON SALE Once again this year, we will be selling our Christmas Greeting Cards. This card is a Poster with great Christmas Characters printed on them. You purchase your Poster for $5.00 and it will be posted in the Club for all to enjoy. Cards will go on sale Friday, November 28 th. Check with the Bartenders or any Officer to purchase your card. We will post them as they are sold. This is a good way to support your Auxiliary efforts!
