Pulverised Fuel Ash (PFA) material continues to be laid on the new embankment being constructed to the west of the field access track. A bulldozer and vibrating roller are being used to place and compact the PFA material. Refer to photographs 1, 2, 3 & 4. 3. A material testing contractor was present on-site and it is understood that in addition to other testing, 2No. Nuclear density tests per 250mm (max) layer of PFA material being laid on site will be conducted. 4. Further materials testing results are awaited for samples taken from the PFA material that has been placed in the site areas where the new embankments are being constructed (i.e. to the east and west of River Rother). These results should be obtained and made available as soon as possible to allow assessment of the densities being achieved. 5. The existing field access track embankments (near the gate leading to Station Road) are being cleared as progress with construction of the new embankment and bridge abutment works. 6. Bridge abutment construction works are underway to the west of River Rother. The reinforcement cage and formwork for the abutment wall are being fixed in to place ready for the concrete pour which is due to take place on Saturday 26 th November 2011. Refer to photographs 5, 6 & 7. The wing walls for this abutment are due to be cast in week commencing 28 th November 2011. 7. Reinforcement cages for the eastern bridge abutment continue to be fabricated onsite. Refer to photograph 8. 8. At the east of River Rother, pile (bored) construction works have been completed subsequent to some corrective action required of Van Elle. The piles are now being trimmed down (exposing the re-bars) to the required levels in preparation for receiving the abutment construction above. Refer to photographs 9 & 10. 9. The concrete bagwork outfall for the carrier drain installed between manhole S8a and the existing ditch remains to be constructed. 10. The levels of the Type 1 material placed on the new PFA material embankment in the site area between Forge Lane and the existing flood embankment to the east of River Rother need to be reduced to the desired levels before laying the upper materials of MMF038 May 2003 - PM/10/12 & PM/14/12 Page 1 of 9 Mott MacDonald 2003

Item Text Action on the proposed footpath/equestrian way construction. The overfilled material is currently being used as an access route for construction plant. Refer to photographs 11 & 12. 11. At the proposed tie-in to the western side of the railway line, construction of the West Bankseat is being completed. The concrete that was poured on the 25 th November 2011 was being tidied up in preparation for further works to the bankseat. Refer to photographs 13 & 14. 12. have commenced preparation of a set of drawings annotated with red line asbuilt alterations in order to record the few design/construction changes that have taken place. to mark up the set of red line as-built drawings with the recent changes to the piling design and construction works to the east of River Rother.
