Care Home The Mount, for long term residential care, day support and respite care, age 18+ Community Support Age 8+ Isle of Wight Holiday Home For use by individuals using November/ December 2016 Dear Rebecca Homes services and a holiday rental home Company number 04573091 Rebecca Homes Ltd now in the 14 th year anniversary of service A huge sincere thank you to everyone who has had an input into our achievements during 2016, thank you to the people who use our services, thank you to our staff, contractors and associates who assist supporting our company. We are writing to wish you all a happy Christmas and New year. To end the year on a positive note, please see below some of the achievements during 2016. Management of Rebecca Homes Ltd requested an infection control audit of the home. This was carried out by Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent NHS partnership trust. Two audits were carried out one in February and the second in May. An audit was requested the same as previous years to ensure that the company is meeting standards and adhering to any new legislation. Following the audit during February adjustments were made to try to meet all the recommendations requested. In May 2016, a score of 93 per cent was achieved. A great amount of time and effort was spent making improvements throughout March and April. In the process of these improvements the main bathroom within the house was completely altered with new fittings and decoration. Please see photo below.

In MayFiona Bradbury Activity coordinator and Zoe Dawson Support Worker in their own time and on their own initiative raised money for Autistica they raised between them 1074.12. Autistica is a charity which both funds and campaigns for medical research to understand the causes of autism. Spending their own time raising money for autism this demonstrates their dedication to the people we support. The company is proud to employ staff who support good causes like this. Mid-year the company purchased a new mini bus this mini bus was only two months old when brought. Please see photo below. Later, in the year the company held a fund-raising event to raise money to purchase garden furniture for the care home and donate money to cancer research. Staff working within the company in their own time helped raise money for this event, gather sponsors and volunteered to help at the event. It was amazing the generosity of those that helped with the event, the businesses that donated to the raffle and all the hard work people put in to make the night a success. We raised our target of 400 for the new garden furniture for The Mount and 187.20 went to cancer research. Here are a list of the raffle prizes we had donated from businesses of whom the company is very thankful to. 30-minute flying lesson with Tatenhill Aviation, 90 minute Activity Session for up to 12 people at Whitmore Lakes, Deltaforce Paintball Vouchers (for up to 10 people), Burton Albion Ground Tour for 2x Adults and 2x Children, 2x Tour Vouchers for St. Georges Park, afternoon Tea for 2 at Netherstowe House Lichfield, 2 hour canoeing session with Burton Canoe Club, 30

minute mid-week toboggan session for 2 at Snowdome, 15 gift voucher for Alyssa (ladieswear shop at Barton Marina), free Admission for 4 to National Forest Adventure Farm, family Trip around The National Brewery Centre, free Admission for 2x children to Dudley Zoo, free Admission for 2x Adults to Chrich Tramway Village, Nestle Hamper, Toboggan Rides (x4) at Swadlincote Ski Centre, Wakeboarding Lesson at Chasewater, 30 Amazon Gift Card, family Bowling session at Namco Tamworth, 20 Voucher for The Crown Inn, Yoxall, D Hair Beauty and Pamper Package at Burntwood and a Spray Tan from LA Tanning. Here are pictures of the furniture purchased and some pictures of the event. All through the year people using our services have enjoyed plenty of fun filled theme days this year including Australia Day, Dignity Day, St. Patricks Day, St. Georges Day, Mad Hatters Tea Party, Grease 1950's Night and The Mount Appreciation Awards Ceremony. In addition to the theme days some fantastic and varied day trips have been organised throughout 2016. Such as Cadbury world, Dudley Zoo, Stafford FM Studios, Blackpool, Stratford on Avon, Llandudno, Matlock Bath and Chester Zoo and finally holidays to our Isle of Wight holiday home. Here are some pictures of these events see below and on the following page.

We are very proud to say Maureen Greenhough Night Support Worker will have soon achieved 15 years of service. Maureen is one of the original employees and helped the company get started from the beginning. Maureen has many years of knowledge and experience to pass onto new staff. Maureen has been a loyal and hardworking member of staff. Thank you, Maureen, for all your dedication to the company and the people we support, we hope to work with you for many more years to come. Throughout 2016 the company has been working with Taruna from T Chauhan consultancy to ensure continuous improvement. Taruna supports other companies in care, she is an improvement consultant. Taruna has undertaken quality assurance monitoring, looked at risk management put action plans in place and improved systems. The biggest improvement is that the vast majority of our work has gone cloud based. Staff have noticed the systems in place are now much more efficient and easier to access reducing time and work load. There are many more achievements throughout 2016 and again we would like to thank everyone who has helped make these achievements happen and improvements.
