2018 EACA Meeting in Tokyo Poster Session Call for abstracts The call for abstracts is open, the deadline for submission is 21 September 2018. Abstracts for posters are invited in areas relevant to the work of Cochrane as well as evidence-based practice, policy, methodology, and advocacy. Submissions are invited in the following categories: Systematic review on therapeutic interventions and its methods Systematic review on adverse effects and its methods Diagnostic test accuracy review and its method Supporting review authors Education and training Global health and equity Health economics Inclusion of non-randomized designs Innovative solutions to challenges of evidence production Investigating bias Knowledge translation and communicating evidence Overviews of reviews and network meta-analyses Patient or healthcare consumer involvement and shared decision-making Priority setting Qualitative evidence synthesis methodology Searching and information retrieval Statistical methods Translation (linguistic translation of Cochrane content) Understanding and using evidence Other The deadline for abstract submissions is 21 September 2018, Japan time. How to submit an abstract
To submit an abstract, you and each of your co-facilitators will need to submit your abstract in a MS Word format to cochrane.japanws@gmail.com. You can revise your abstract until the deadline of 21 September 2018, Japan time, by sending the revised abstract to the address above. Instructions for poster abstracts Abstracts must be submitted through e-mail by 21 September 2018, Japan time. Only abstracts submitted in English will be considered. Abstracts must not be more than 2400 characters (approx. 350 words). The abstract should then follow the structure: Background, Objectives, Methods, Results, and Conclusions. If your abstract does not fit into this format, please choose alternative headings that are appropriate. The abstract title should not be more than 20 words. If abbreviations are used, the abbreviated term should be written out in full the first time it is used. Where relevant, please keep in mind the relevant reporting guidelines for the study design you are reporting on (e.g. available at the Equator Network website). Tables and graphs cannot be submitted. You do not need to submit a PDF version of the abstract alongside the form. Submission of abstracts You will receive an email to acknowledge your abstract submission. (Please allow up to 72 hours to receive this email). If you do not receive an email, or if you require any help with submitting your abstract, please email at cochrane.japanws@gmail.com. Acceptance and notification of abstracts Submissions will be judged on their originality, clarity, and scientific quality. We aim to notify authors of acceptance or rejection of their submission by 30 September 2018.
Registration All presenters of accepted abstracts are required to register and attend the workshop. Poster sessions There will be two poster sessions during the workshop: Poster session #1 will take place during EACA lunch on 12 November 2018. Poster session #2 will take place during EACA lunch on 13 November 2018. Size limitations The poster size should be A0 paper size, which is 841 x 1189 mm (width x height) or 33.1 x 46.8 inches (width x height) Posters are displayed in portrait format (not landscape) Posters will be placed on both sides of each poster board. Please do not exceed these dimensions - posters that do not fall within size limitation cannot be posted. Please bring A4 copies of your poster with you if you wish to share your idea with interested delegates Poster printing Please bring the poster with you (as hard copy) to the workshop We cannot offer onsite printing at the workshop venue.
