Warranty evo warrants the TranSport nebulizer compressor to be free from defective workmanship and materials for a period of 3 years from the date of purchase. The rechargeable battery warranty is 6 months from the data of purchase. This warranty is limited to the dealer. Any defective part or assembly will be repaired or replaced, at the sole discretion and determination of evo if the unit has not been misused or tampered with during the warranty period. Normal maintenance items, as outlined in this manual, and disposable components are not covered by this warranty. Shipping charges, if any, shall be paid by the purchaser. NOTE: There is no other express warranty. Implied warranties, including those of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are limited to the duration of the express limited warranty and to the extent permitted by law and all implied warranties are excluded. This warranty does not cover providing a loaner compressor, compensating for costs incurred for compressor rental, or labor costs incurred in repairing or replacing defective part(s). 9

7. Troubleshooting If your TranSport Compressor Nebulizer fails to function, consult the Troubleshooting guide below. If the problem persists, consult your equipment provider. Problem Device doesn t operate. Weak Nebulization 8. Specifications Cause and Solution Check if the AC plug is properly fit into an appropriate electrical outlet. Check if the plug is properly insert into the power socket of the device. Check for proper electrical voltage. Check if any air leakage at connection to TranSport compressor or nebulizer cup, replace as needed. Check the nebulizer cup if it is properly assembled and not damaged. If there is any damage, replace as needed. (Check if filter is too dirty, replace as needed. Never use while sleeping or feeling drowsy. 8. Never drop or insert any object into any opening or hose. 9. Do not use in outdoors or operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used or where oxygen is being administered in a closed environment such as an oxygen reservoir. Introduction 1.1 Intended Use The TranSport Compressor Nebulizer System is intended to provide a source of compressed air for aerosol therapy. It is used in conjunction with a hand-held jet (pneumatic) nebulizer to produce medicated aerosols for inhalation by pediatric and adult patients with respiratory symptoms. 1. After each use, disassemble the nebulizer cup and mouthpiece completely, wash all parts in warm soapy water and rinse thoroughly. Allow to air dry. Store in a clean dry location. 2. Once daily, after washing as above, boil the parts in water for a maximum of 5 minutes. NOTE - The nebulizer is designed for single patient use. The nebulizer should be replaced after 6 months use NOTE - Please follow national requirements to dispose the unit properly. 4.3. Mask Cleaning 1. Wash the mask with warm water and dishwashing detergent solution. 2. Rinse thoroughly and air dry. WARNING Do not boil the masks. CAUTION - Indications for therapy include asthma, chronic bronchitis, infection of the upper respiratory tract, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and other respiratory disorders in accordance with a medical doctor s prescription. Except the usage mentioned above, please do not use this product for any other purpose. This device can be used with adults or pediatric patients under physician s prescription. 1.2 Safety Precaution Instruction When using this electrical product, especially when children are present, one should always follow basic safety precautions. Do not install, maintain or operate this equipment without reading, understanding and following the proper TranSport Compressor System instruction manual, otherwise injury or damage may result. Important information is highlighted by using the following bulletin: DANGER - Urgent safety information for hazards that will cause serious injury or death. WARNING - Important safety information for hazards that might cause serious injury or property damage. CAUTION - Information for preventing damage to the product. 5. Storage Keep the unit and accessories dry. Avoid direct sunlight. 6. Maintenance 6.1 General Information 1. This unit is oil-less. Do Not Lubricate. 2. Risk of electric shock. Do not disassemble the main unit. 3. All maintenance must be performed by a qualified service personnel. 6.2 Filter Change NOTE - Change the filter once every month or when filter turns gray. Please follow the instructions and figure below. This product has been tested and successfully approved with the following standards: EN 60601-1 EN 60601-1-2 1. Open the filter cap. 2. Remove dirty filter with a small, pointed object. Discard the filter. 3. Replace with a clean filter. Additional filters should be purchased from your provider. 4. Put the filter cap back. CAUTION - Do not use cotton or any other material as a filter. Do not wash or reuse the filter. Do not operate the unit without a filter. 2 7

CAUTION - When AC power cord is not connected, the unit's main power source is from the rechargeable Ni-MH battery pack. Note that even when the device is turned off, it is still in the stand-by condition and consuming the battery power. It is suggested that users remove the battery pack when the device is not used for prolonging battery life. CAUTION - If the TranSport has been charging for over 24 hrs but the battery charge indicator still lights up, discontinue charging the battery. Disconnect the adapter and remove the battery for safety considerations. CAUTION - The TranSport battery has protection from overheating and will not operate if temperature is 40 C (104 F) or higher. Allow battery to cool before restarting. CAUTION - In case of failure or malfunction, turn off the device and read the instruction manual. Do not attempt to open the plastic case or to replace any components. The battery is a whole sealed pack and cannot be repaired. NOTE - Battery will not charge while device is in use. NOTE - In order to insure maximum performance of the battery, routinely charge the battery when not in use. 4. Cleaning 2. Product Description 1. Compressor main unit 1a. On/Off Switch 1b. Car Lighter Adapter (Optional) 4.1 Compressor Outer Case Cleaning WARNING - Electric shock hazard. Do not remove outer case of this unit. All disassembly and maintenance of this unit must be done by a qualified service technician. Refer servicing to qualified service personnel. WARNING - This unit does not require oil. Do not attempt to lubricate any internal parts. WARNING - Unplug unit before cleaning. Do not submerge in water for cleaning. 1. Wipe the main unit with a damp cloth every few days to keep it dust-free. 2. Do not use any powdered type cleaners or soap. Do not submerge the unit into water. 4.2. Nebulizer Cup Cleaning l All parts of the nebulizer cup should be thoroughly cleaned after each use. If your doctor specifies a specific cleaning procedure, follow that procedure. WARNING - To prevent possible risk of infection from contaminated medication, cleaning of the nebulizer is recommended after each treatment 6 3

3. Operation NOTE - Before initial operation, the nebulizer cup assembly should be cleaned following instructions described in the Cleaning section. 3.1 Daily Use Operation CAUTION - The TranSport Compressor is designed for intermittent use only. To prevent damage to the device, it will be automatically turned off after 20-minute use. 1. Before each use inspect the TranSport Compressor and nebulizer cup assembly for damage or wear, replace as needed. 2. Remove the top cover from the main unit body. 3. Pull the nebulizer kit out form its seat. 4. Open the nebulizer by pulling the upper part up and fix the cone to the base of the nebulizer. 5. Add indicated medication to the nebulizer s cup before use; pay attention not to exceed the maximum allowed amount (7ml). CAUTION - Do not add medication into the nebulizer seat area of the compressor main unit, which may cause the damage of the compressor. Always add medication in the nebulizer s cup. NOTE: This device has no protection against ingress of water which will result in compressor damage. 6. Close the nebulizer by pressing the upper part onto the cup. Make sure the four ribs (two on each side) on the upper part fit over the cup s edge. The nebulizer is firmly closed after a click is heard 7. Insert and press the nebulizer kit firmly into its seat. The magnifier in the front can help for reading the scale of the nebulizer s cup easily. TranSport can be used in two ways: With mouthpiece Insert the mouthpiece into the nebulizer top. Close your lips around the mouthpiece and start treatment. With Mask Connect the mask to the mask adapter first and insert the adapter into the nebulizer top. Place the mask onto your face and start treatment. 8. Insert the AC adapter into an appropriate electrical wall outlet and then connect the plug of the adapter to the power socket of the device. (The device can be alternatively used with 12 VDC adapter plug or with the rechargeable battery pack) 4 9. Press the ON/OFF button for 2 seconds and release to power on the unit. When the device is ON, the green Power On Indicator will light. NOTE: During the treatment, it is important to keep the device in the vertical position, which can assure the correct functions and maximum effectiveness. 10. If treatment needs to be interrupted, simply press ON/OFF button. 11. When the treatment is complete, turn off the compressor by pressing ON/OFF button and unplug the unit from the electrical outlet. WARNING: Equipment not suitable for use in the presence of a flammable anesthetic mixture with air or with oxygen or nitrous oxide. This device has no AP or APG protection. 3.2 Battery Pack Instruction (For those devices with optional battery) Battery Specifications Battery Type: NiMH 1500 mah Supply Voltage: 15VDC use only original TranSport adapter Complete Charge: At least 4 hours Capacity: 1500mAh The TranSport battery requires some simple precautions to ensure proper operations and to avoid damage to the device or the battery. When used properly, the battery can provide two treatments of about 20 minutes each. Battery operation may vary because of charge conditions and care. 1. Remove the rubber cushion before inserting the battery. Insert the battery by matching the projection on the top of battery and groove on the bottom of the device. Slide it until it clicks to have installation done. Slide it in the opposite direction to remove the battery. 2. Make sure the battery is fully charged before use. Recharge the battery by inserting plug of the AC adapter into the power socket of the device when battery is installed. The suggested charging time is 6-8 hours for the first time. The typical charging period is 4 hrs for daily use. Once the battery is fully charged, it can provide two treatments of about 20 minutes each. 3. When the power in the battery pack becomes low, the orange battery status indicator flashes to indicate that only a few minutes of battery power remains. You must recharge battery pack or use the AC power source. During the charging operation, the orange battery status indicator will light and automatically turn off after the battery is fully charged. 5
