When the front of the headset is facing away from you, turn volume control toward left to increase volume. Turn to "off" (toward the right) when headset is not in use to save battery consumption. 2. VOLUME CONTROL INDICATOR: Displays volume level when volume is "on." The more yellow area shown, the higher the volume. At maximum volume (124 ds), the entire indicator area will be yellow. 3. LED: Audio receiving diode. Keep unobstructed (by hands, newspapers, other solid objects). For maximum sound reception, a clear line of sight should exist between the LED on the headset and the public facility's AudioLinkTM-compatible transmitter. 4. BATTERY RECEPTACLE: Place battery BA-90in this location in order to operate the headset. When headset is not in use, recharge battery in the battery charger C-100. 5. EAR CUSHIONS: These removable pieces should be cleaned with soap and water from time to time. 6. TONE CONTROL: Can be adjusted to compensate for varying degrees of hearing loss between low and high frequencies. 7. VOLUME CONTROLS, BIGHT AND beft: Can be adjusted to compensate for varying level of hearing loss between right and lett ears. 8. ACCESSORY JACK: 2.5 mm jack enables certain accessories (riot provided: see Accessory List) to connect to behind the ear hearing aids having "T" switch position. CHARGING THE BATTERY BA-gO OPERATING AUDIOLIN/(TM PLS-110 1. Before first use of the headset, the battery should be charged for 24 hours for optimal use. 2. Insert the BA-gOinto the battery charger. 3. Plug the Battery Charger C-100 into a 110V AC wall outlet. 4. The battery is charged as long as the battery charger is plugged into an AC outlet. You cannot overcharge the battery. To ensure ready availability of the headset, always place the battery in the battery charger when the headset is not in use. 5. Subsequent recharging time is 12-18 hours. For best results, periodically let the battery drain completely and then recharge. OPERATING TIPS - The AudioLinkTMHeadset H-100can be used in AudioLinkTMcompatible facilities. Call NCI for a complete listing of AudioLinkTM-compatiblelocations in your area. - The LED on the front of the headset should be unobstructed (by hands, printed materials, or other solid objects). - Public facilities, such as theaters or cinemas, most likely would not activate their sound transmission systems until the performance has begun. If you turn the volume "on" prior to that time, you most likely will encounter the hissing noise described below. PROBLEM SOLVING TIPS - Hissing noise only- Transmitter is not set into operation or is defective. Problem also may be caused by the headset being in direct sunlight or too close to a lamp. Block light source. - Volume turned to maximum on headset but no signal available-signal is missing. Transmitters in public facility may not be operable. - Sound is disturbed-battery is completely discharged. Recharge it immediately! - Sound is slightly noisy- Transmitter is not positioned in optimum way or reception is obstructed.
