Every penny you raise means we can continue to provide support, information and care for people affected by breast cancer, so a huge heartfelt thank you. 20 0 Every year we hold a Big Pink in our ice cream parlor to raise money and awareness in our local community. Here are some ideas to get you thinking Hold a pink dress up day at work or school. You could even have a prize for the best dressed. Hold a bake sale and watch those donations roll in. Join fellow Big Pink hosts on our Facebook group for inspiration or to share your great ideas. Just search The Big Pink 2018 on Facebook. Get friends over for a pink night in and donate the money you would have spent going out. STEP 1 SET THE DATE & spread the word Getting ready for your Big Pink is simple 1. Get a date in the diary. 2. Invite your friends, family or colleagues. 3. Party planning, the fun bit! It s easy but we have ideas in this guide to help. Set a JustGiving page so anyone who couldn t attend can still make a donation. You can even set up your own text to donate code. Let us know if you need a hand setting this up. SPREAD THE WORD: Here are some tips on getting the word out. Put up the poster to help promote your Big Pink party. You can download more online. Tell your local paper about your event we have a press release template online you can use. The Big Pink is on 12 October but don t worry if that doesn t work for you. You can hold your Big Pink party anytime. Join our BIG PINK party Every 10 minutes someone in the UK is told they have breast cancer. By coming together and holding a Big Pink party you are helping us keep our invaluable services free for anyone who needs them. You re helping us be there when we re needed most.
