I have extensive experience collaborating with international programs, including work with the US Centers for Disease and Control Prevention (US/CDC) for 16 years (1998-2014) to develop advanced health management training programs in Vietnam designed to enhance practical skills needed by health system staff to become effective managers. I am deeply committed to the concept of participatory learning, through integrated series of skills-based training and implementation of applied projects in work settings. I have also worked with the Vietnam Ministry of Health (MOH), Ministry of Labor,
Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA), WHO, UN organizations, international universities... in various consultative services on health system strengthening. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AS A LECTURER AND DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF HSPH/HMTI - Designing strategic and action plans for the HMTI development - Managing and supervising research and training activities at the HMTI - Teaching training courses on Health Management, Human Resource Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, Health Service Quality Improvement in pre-service and in-service training programs. - Providing technical assistance to HMTI staff and other partners to conduct training programs, research, and projects on health management, etc. - Mentoring colleagues and students in conducting research and consultancy across diversified public health projects.
