The 14th Annual DOORS TO DREAMS DINNER AUCTION INSPIRATION Friday, February 26, 2016
Boys & Girls Clubs of Spokane County Since 2001, Boys & Girls Clubs of Spokane County has provided thousands of young people, between the ages of 6 18 years old, with a safe and positive place to go throughout the year. For an after school membership fee of only $10 a year, we provide a wide range of impactful programs to more than 2,500 Club members annually at one of three neighborhood Club locations Northtown Club (Greater Hillyard), Lisa Stiles-Gyllenhammer Club (Mead) and the Be Great Club (East Central). During the summer, another critical unsupervised time for youth, the Clubs also offer a fun and educational 10-week Camp for only $15-30/week. These nominal fees, the lowest in the region, allow us to serve more kids and teens, provide a positive benefit to the Spokane community and ultimately ensure we achieve our mission To empower all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential through opportunities to realize Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, Good Character and Citizenship. Doors to Dreams What: The Doors to Dreams Dinner and Auction is the largest annual fundraising event for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Spokane County. The evening s festivities will include silent and live auctions, hors d oeuvres, a delicious plated dinner, as well as inspirational stories from Club members. Guests should come prepared to enjoy a fun evening while supporting local kids in need! When: Friday, February 26 th, 2016 at 5:30pm. Where: The Grand Ballroom located in the new Davenport Grand Hotel. Who: Why: Folks like you! Business and community leaders and friends who are passionate about our mission and want to ensure kids and teens get the encouragement and support they need to dream big and build a better future. Doors to Dreams raises a large portion of the funds that allow us to serve over 500 local youth each day. The majority of boys and girls served by our Clubs come from disadvantaged circumstances and look to us as an important stabilizing force in their lives. This annual event helps bridge the gap between the $10 Club members pay each year and the nearly $500 it costs to provide programs for one child annually.

Jainee represented our Clubs at the Washington Youth of the Year Celebration along with sixteen other youth from across the state. In addition to being recognized as one of the state s most outstanding Boys & Girls Club members, Jainee visited the Governor s mansion, State Senate chambers, Space Needle, Pike Place Market, and also enjoyed a college visit to Seattle University, one of her top choices to attend in her future! The Club taught me no matter how hard your life is right now, no matter what you re going through, no matter how helpless you feel, there will always be someone who loves you and will support you, and knowing that, you can change the world. You can aspire to complete any dream you want to, and that support will allow you to. Join us as we announce the 2016 Youth of the Year Winner at our Annual Doors to Dreams Celebration!
