History of Food Nutrients Dr. Albert Szent-Gyorgyi Discovery and Isolation of Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) In 1937, received the Nobel prize for isolating Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) Found that this isolate was less bioavailable than the vitamin C food Dr. Andy Szalay his life s work cellular nutrition research, designed nutrients that closely resembled natural food Researched each nutrient determined complete matrix which had the greatest affinity toward that specific nutrient In 1977, created the first whole food nutrient supplement
What Are Food Nutrients? Food Nutrients are designed with food matrix molecules for high bioavailability, assimilation and absorbency.
What Are Food Nutrients? Food Nutrients are. Complete nutrient matrix with carrier proteins, carbohydrates, lipids and trace elements Replicate the nutrient found in food and are delivered in a form recognized by the body as food 90% absorbed high assimilation and bioavailability
Vitamin C Food Nutrient vs Isolate Food Nutrient Vitamin C Contain matrix of: Carbohydrates Proteins Lipids Enzymes Glycoproteins Lipoproteins Bioflavonoids Phospholipids Fatty acids Amino acids Isolated Ascorbic Acid Only contains the chemical Isolate Ascorbic acid Does not contain other vitamin C components: ascorbinogen bioflavonoids rutin tyrosinase Factor J, K, P 11
Carrier Food Factor Food has a targeted delivery system (Carrier Food Factor or Carrier Proteins) natural carriers for each of the individual nutrients (vitamins, minerals, trace elements etc). Carrier Food Factors enhance absorption across membranes Delivers measurableamounts of the nutrient to specific target site (ex. liver, brain, muscle ) - therefore, smaller dose needed Grow Company uses a system that enrich natural carriers of the individual nutrients -not just blend them but actually incorporate them. Carrier -Saccharomycescerevisiae(Baker s yeast culture) because of its unique nutritional characteristics Incorporates all nutrients into a complete food matrix At the end of the growth process, the yeast cell walls are destroyed, thereby removing any potential for an adverse yeast reaction, as well as removing any potential to support Candida overgrowth. Every batch is tested to ensure it is free of Candida and yeast 12
Benefits Food Nutrient Benefits of single cell plant grown nutrients: No known toxicity Targeted delivery technology (TDT) Targeted delivery system (TDS) Superior characteristics Low dosage, no mega dose No side effects In harmony with wholesome food GMO-Free, gluten free, dairy free, vegan friendly Do not cause concern about interactions between nutrients, such as vitamin E and iron 13

Complete C Complete C complete bioflavonoid matrix GMO free citrus pulp remains in bloodstream longer 1210% more bioavailable than ascorbic acid Ingredients: Each tablet contains: Vitamin C -250 mg Bioflavonoids (citrus pulp) - 20 mg
Complete C Study Bioavailability of Synthetic Ascorbic acid and a Citrus Extract J.A. Vinson and P. Bose Human males - 8 healthy non-smoker individuals with an average age of 22 years participated. Individual taking CF showed a 68% greater area under the curve than AA and took longer to reach its maximum concentration. Comparison of the slopes of the dose-response lines showed that RenaturedVitamin C in Citrus Fruit Media (CF) was 3X more absorbed than synthetic absorbic acid (AA). Guinea Pigs - The slope of the renaturedvitamin C groups was significantly greater than the USP group at 74%. The renaturedvitamin C Citrus extract was 1210% more bioavailable than USP ascorbic acid. Conclusion Complete C has been shown in guinea pigs and humans to be more absorbed than ascorbic acid and to remain in the body for a longer period of time. Complete C is thus the preferred form of ascorbate for supplementation. 18
Premium D1000 Premium D1000 high potency no toxic build-up equivalent to taking 6000 IU of vitamin D3 Ingredients: Each tablet contains: Vitamin D3-1000 IU
Premium D1000 Clinical studies in the UK have demonstrated that one 1000 IU tablet of Food Nutrient Premium D1000 (D3) is equivalent to 6,000 IU of conventional USP vitamin D3, thus allowing greater delivery of nutrients at a significantly reduced dosage.
