If you are entering the Norwich Optimist Chili Cook-Off on behalf of the Norfolk 4-H Association, please let the Fundraising and Promotion Committee know by e-mailing Lori at lorih@execulink.com. Thank you. The entry form can be seen on Page 5, but a printable version has been attached to the e-mail containing this newsletter. From: <info@norwichoptimistevents.com> Date: Feb 26, 2018 7:47 PM Subject: Community Chili Cook Off Dear Community Partner, The Optimist Club of Norwich and District is once again hosting this event to raise funds for local youth events and projects in our township. This year will mark our 4th annual event and it will take place at the Norwich Community Centre on March 24th. We are looking for businesses, groups, and individuals to enter teams. To enter, each team must make us aware of their desire to participate and prepare 16 quarts of chili for the competition. The competition will be judged on colour, aroma, taste, consistency and aftertaste. There will also be awards for most spirited team and best decorated table. This year we have a twist when it comes to the entry of teams, as well as how the proceeds from this event are divided. Each team can enter the competition at no charge as long as they are playing for a local kids program or charity. Half of the profit of the chili cook off will be divided amongst all of the kids programs chosen by the teams that enter. The other half will go to our Optimist Club to support programs we already regularly support. More than one team may play for the same cause. We hope to see everyone there. We are happy to answer any questions that you may have, you can reach us by calling 519-468-2199 or emailing info@norwichoptimistevents.com. There is also a poster and entry form attached with more information. Thank you for your consideration, Kelly Murphy Event Chairperson Norfolk 4-H Website: http://www.4-hontario.ca/4h-in-my-area/norfolk.aspx Page 5 of 6
