Injury Prevention, Management and Performance COURSE DESCRIPTION Golf is a game that is played by 24 million Americans and more than 55 million people worldwide. It is one of the few activities that people of all ages and skill levels can play. The majority of injuries in professionals come from overuse, while amateurs become injured due to faulty swing patterns developed around physical limitations. In order to treat this specialized population, clinicians need to be aware of the best available assessment tools and treatment techniques for golfers of all ages and skill levels. This course will address injuries unique to golfers as well as strategies to address these injuries. Use of video analysis as part of the golf evaluation will be emphasized during this course and integrated into formulating a comprehensive treatment plan for both injury prevention and performance improvement.
