Auxiliary Donates Chairs The Athens-Limestone Hospital Auxiliary recently contributed $7,000 to the Greatest Need Funding Priorities by purchasing five patient/family sleeper chairs as part of the Julia Ann Stacey Sweet CHAIR-ity Fund. The Foundation would like to thank this dedicated group of volunteers for their many gifts of time and equipment to Athens-Limestone Hospital. The staff were proud to share their comments: Mary Andujar, Food Services Administrative Assisant and Relay Team Captain commented, I can t really pick one thing that I enjoyed the most. I even enjoyed being tired the next morning knowing what we had accomplished together. Connie Davis, Patient Advocate, Food Services and Team Co-Captain: It was such a fun night. I sang Karaoke, visited with friends and am happy that we did make a Difference! Kathy Romine, Cook and Nan Ingles, Aide: (Both had to be up at 4:30 AM for work and stayed to help until 11:00 PM) They shared, We were able to serve the community while having fun walking with friends. Crystal Cup Golf Tournament September 16, 2010 Canebrake Golf Club Raised over $25,000 for the Emergency Services Department. Power Stretchers and EKG Equipment that will allow us to transmit 12 lead EKG s from the field will be purchased. 144 Golfers Participated Numerous Community and Vendor Sponsors Helped us meet our goal! 5
Message from the CEO. Athens-Limestone Hospital Our Mission...To provide integrated access to quality health and wellness services for Limestone County and the surrounding areas. Our Vision...To provide healthcare to the residents of Athens and Limestone County and surrounding areas with emphasis on quality, compassion and integrity with the goal of being the preferred provider of healthcare and wellness services in our primary service area. Happy fall to everyone! I would like to thank everyone for their hard work and participation in our recent Joint Commission survey. I am pleased to announce that we did very well. No life safety recommendations at all! We are moving ahead with our plans to expand and renovate the emergency room lobby. The Mother Baby unit will get new tile and wallpaper soon. Welcome to Dr. Jorge Barrios and Dr. Samantha Davidson. It is great to have these exceptional family physicians join our staff. Thanks to everyone who came to the town hall meetings. I really appreciate your input, it is so important to our success. We are working on a new Customer Service class hopefully starting in January! Remember to stay healthy and get your flu shot!!!
