ACMF Mission Statement Support and encourage interdisciplinary research, education and the development of innovative technology to improve the quality of life in patients with cranio-maxillofacial disorders. Objectives Facilitate communication between engineers, scientists, clinicians and industry to develop innovative technology used to solve ongoing CMF challenges. During this course participants will: Discuss controversial topics in the diagnosis, management and treatment planning of Facial Trauma Discuss ideas, the difference in approaches and the standard of care to complex craniomaxillofacial procedures Identify common complications encountered in facial fracture treatment; evaluate current technology and its use in solving cranio-maxillofacial problems. Symposium Information Overview This European educational activity will focus on interdisciplinary problem solving in cranio-maxillofacial surgery and will be of interest to oral maxillofacial surgeons and plastic surgeons. Advanced technologies used to solve problems will be highlighted, as well as indications, complications and peri-operative considerations. Teaching methods include focused presentations and interdisciplinary panel discussions of controversial clinical issues and case studies, presentation of basic concepts and fundamentals. There will be a reactor panel for each topic and time for participant discussion and case presentations.
