SICAT FUNCTION TRACK REAL MOTION IN MOTION Real 3D jaw motion for the first time
REAL MOTION TIME FOR FACTS THE DIGITALIZATION of treatment procedures based on 3D X-ray data is progressing rapidly. What has been successfully established with GALILEOS Implant / SICAT Implant diagnostics and planning in 3D and implantological implementation with surgical guides now has new applications: the treatment of temporomandibular dysfunction. SICAT PRESENTS a revolutionary solution for the diagnosis and therapy of temporomandibular dysfunctions: SICAT Function and SICAT JMT +. THE SECRET OF SUCCESS: diagnosis, planning and consultation with the patient in one chairside session.
SICAT FUNCTION introduces an integrated 3D workflow for diagnostics and therapy of temporomandibular dysfunctions (TMD). DIAGNOSTIC PATIENT INFORMATION received from a 3D X-ray system, a Jaw Motion Tracker (SICAT JMT + ) and optical surface data (CEREC, Sirona) are merged in SICAT Function. IN ADDITION, the recorded jaw movement traces can be visualized and reproduced for any point on the mandible. FOR THE FIRST TIME, real patient-individual movement of the mandible can be presented true to anatomy and in 3D.
TRACK REAL MOTION IN MOTION THE DATA MERGED IN SICAT FUNCTION enables patient-specific three-dimensional presentation of the mandible in motion for the first time. DEPENDING ON THE PREFERENCE of the practitioner, recorded traces of movement can be visualized at any specific point of the mandible. This enables the individual presentation of the relationship between condyle and fossa in movement, providing the practitioner with additional therapeutic input. In addition, the optical surface data can be used to simulate dynamic occlusion and include this aspect in therapy. SICAT FUNCTION: new perspectives for TMD diagnostics with reproducible results, an efficient workflow and reliable therapy planning.
THE SICAT FUNCTION WORKFLOW 1 3D X-ray scan with a CT or Conebeam system. The patient wears the SICAT Fusion Bite during the scan. 2 Movement data is recorded with SICAT JMT + and exported to SICAT Function. 3 Optical surface scan of the patient and data merged within SICAT Function. 4 Diagnosis, treatment planning and SICAT OPTIMOTION therapeutic appliance ordered in just one consultation with the patient.
SICAT OPTIMOTION THE FULLY DIGITAL THERAPEUTIC APPLIANCE EACH PATIENT IS DIFFERENT so is each SICAT OPTIMOTION. Following diagnosis and planning in SICAT Function, a SICAT OPTIMOTION therapeutic appliance can then be ordered by the practitioner s preference. HOW YOU BENEFIT: a completely digital workflow saves time and offers a more reliable treatment plan.
THE SICAT OPTIMOTION THERAPEUTIC APPLIANCE is manufactured according to the principles of a Michigan appliance on the basis of the CBCT data, the optical surface data and the jaw movements obtained from the SICAT JMT +. THE OPTIONS offered by SICAT OPTIMOTION are also impressive: flatplane or occlusal relief, solely canine guidance or anterior and canine guidance, upper or lower jaw. SICAT produces an appliance to meet your needs and the specific patient situation. SICAT FUNCTION IS THE FIRST SOLUTION that includes both occlusion and mandibular joints in diagnosis and treatment planning. The individual, patient-specific relationship between condyle and fossa can be used to achieve targeted decompression of the mandibular joints with SICAT OPTIMOTION. SICAT OPTIMOTION: the first therapeutic appliance produced in a completely digital process using real, patient-specific jaw movement data. HOW YOU BENEFIT: tailor made therapeutic appliances that dramatically reduce the adjustment and grinding adaption required. ANTERIOR AND CANINE GUIDANCE FREEDOM IN CENTRIC MICHIGAN PRINCIPLE
FUNCTIONAL DATA INTEGRATION IN CAD/CAM THE INTEGRATION OF patient-specific movement data from SICAT Function in CEREC now enables real patient articulation in CAD/CAM for the very first time. Even the restoration design process takes account of the real dynamics. HOW YOU BENEFIT: Functional dental prostheses requiring less adjustment and opening up completely new treatment options.
SICAT FUNCTION & CEREC SW 4.4: Real individual patient movement data integrated in CAD/CAM for the first time ONCE THE MOVEMENT DATA recorded with SICAT JMT + has been merged with the optical surface scans in SICAT Function, it can then be exported to CEREC SW 4.4. INTEGRATING individual patient movement data into the optical surface scans enables real patient-specific articulation in CAD/CAM. CONSIDERING the individual, patient-specific dynamics makes it possible to produce a functional, customized and optimized dental prosthesis.
Supported by the highly precise recording of all degrees of freedom and movements of the mandible with the SICAT JMT + (Jaw Motion Tracker), you can transfer, visualize and diagnose anatomically correct jaw movement wihin the 3D space. THE SICAT JMT + includes a facebow with integrated receiver modules as well as a perfectly balanced mandibular sensor. THE MANDIBULAR SENSOR is extremely light-weight and is attached to a paraocclusal T-Attachment by means of a magnetic fastener. 1 IN ORDER TO PRECISELY merge the data from the 3D X-ray and SICAT JMT +, the patient wears the SICAT Fusion Bite at the start of movement recording. 1 2 2 THE INDIVIDUAL MOVEMENTS and jaw positions are subsequently recorded by the mandibular sensor fixed to the paraocclusal T-Attachment. The paraocclusal T-Attachment is attached simply and easily to the vestibular surface of the teeth in the patient s lower jaw.
