02 Approved by Dr. Gluckman completed his dental training at the university of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg in 1990. After spending a number of years in a general practice he completed a 4-year full time degree in Oral Medicine and Periodontics at the University of Stellenbosch in Cape Town, which he completed with distinction (cum Laude) in 1998. He was intimately involved in the development of the postgraduatediploma in Implantology at both the University of Stellenbosch and later at the University of Western Cape. He is currently in full time private practice in Cape Town He is the director of the Implant and Aesthetic Academy, which is a private post graduate training facility in South Africa currently providing a complete postgraduate training program in Implantology in South Africa. The Academy is accredited accredited by The University of Frankfurt. He has been involved in Implantology training for 18 years. Developed the Ankylos implant system (jointly with engineer Dr. W. Moser). Developed the Bone Spreading Systems and other surgical instruments. Scientific director of postgraduate implantological curricula in Germany and abroad. Dr. Howard Gluckman Dr. Dávid Botond Hangyási Dr. Dávid Botond Hangyási received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine in 2007 at the University of Szeged, Faculty of Dentistry. He completed his postgraduate training and earned the degree of Specialist in Periodontology.He runs a Private Practice in Hungary (Hódmezövásárhely) and he is also a part time lecturer at the Deparment of Periodontology at the University of Szeged since 2007. Between 2013 and 2014, he temporarily filled the position of the Acting Head of Department of Periodontology. Since 2016, Dr. Hangyási is the Academic Contributor at University of Szeged. He is providing numerous international and national lectures and courses in the field of Periodontology and Implant Dentistry. His fields of interest are non-surgical periodontal therapy, periodontal plastic surgery and hard- and soft tissue management in Dental Implantology. Prof. Dr. Adrian Kasaj, DDS, MSc, PhD Prof. Dr. Adrian Kasaj, DDS, MSc, PhD is a Professor of Periodontology in the Department of Operative Dentistry and Periodontology at the University Medical Center Mainz, Germany. In 2002 he received his Dr.med.dent degree from the University of Mainz and continued postgraduate training in Periodontology (2002-2005) at the same University. He became a certified Specialist in Periodontology of the German Society of Periodontology (DGParo) in 2006 and also of the European Dental Association (EDA) in 2007. From 2002-2009 he was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Operative Dentistry and Periodontology at the University of Mainz. In 2009 he completed his Ph.D. thesis (Habilitation) and became Associate Professor in the Department of Operative Dentistry and Periodontology, University of Mainz. In 2012 he became a Visiting Professor in the Department of Periodontology at Timisoara University, Romania. From 2012-2014 he completed the post-graduate program Master of Science in Oral Implantology (German Society of Implantology/ Steinbeis University). In 2014 he was awarded the Doctor honoris causa (Dr.h.c.) degree by the University of Timisoara, Romania. In 2016 he was appointed as an extracurricular Professor at the University of Mainz, Germany. Prof. Kasaj has published more than 90 original articles and reviews, lectures extensively in Germany and abroad and serves on several editorial boards and advisory commitees. Mucogingival Esthetic Tunnelling Knifes Mucogingival esthetic surgery is dedicated to the treatment of mucogingival esthetic alterations. These may be caused by gingival recession, often in association with abrasion and/or root caries or, conversely, altered passive eruption.
