Local CQUIN Template Aged Immunisation Programmes 2017-2019 Indicator number Indicator name Aged Immunisation Programmes 2017-2019: Ensuring a wide spread of good coverage Indicator weighting (% of CQUIN scheme available) 1. To develop an agreed action plan to target hard to reach groups and increase uptake in academic year 2017/18 2. Meet Immunisation uptake targets within the Based Programmes for academic years 2017/18 and 2018/19 Description of indicator To develop an action plan to increase uptake for school aged immunisation programmes outside of primary care: 1. The Action Plan must include: Evidence that all eligible children not in formal education/state school are offered the immunisation schedule. This will include; traveller children, home educated children and children in secure facilities. The expectation that poor uptake is monitored and if the target is not met additional sessions or community clinics are arranged to increase uptake and meet the specified targets. (This may also include children from previous years as a catch-up opportunity but is not part of the CQUIN). If the target remains unmet, exception reports will be required. A focus on tackling inequities and improving uptake within the following groups: those with learning disabilities, those living in areas of socioeconomic deprivation and/or who are from minority ethnic groups. Plans to increase uptake, providers are encouraged to be creative and innovative, this can be through social media campaigns, community clinics, immunisation bus etc KSS school immunisation programmes CQUIN V11 1

2. Uptake The overall contract target for the school aged immunisation programme is 90% (with the exception of seasonal flu). The CQUIN target for each school is at least: 80% of all girls in Year 8 should receive a complete course of human papilloma virus (HPV) vaccine (2 doses) 80% of all children should receive a booster dose of tetanus, diphtheria and polio in Year 9 80% of all children should receive a MenACWY vaccine Year 9 45% of all children per school in years, 1, 2, 3 and 4 should receive their seasonal influenza vaccine by 31/12/17 If the target remains unmet, exception reports will be required. Further interventions may be required. Numerator For each school within the LA; the numerator = number of children vaccinated for each programme over the academic year from 1st September 2017 to 31st August 2018 and 1 st September 2018 to 31 st August 2019 (if a child moves school they will be included in the new school numerator). Where possible vaccinations given in clinic should be affiliated to the school that the child attends. The commissioned service is based on 100% offer to all eligible children within the programme cohort. However Indicator 2 (Uptake Targets) within this CQUIN will focus on school based children and not school aged children. Denominator Measurement of Uptake Data source For each school within the LA; the denominator = the number of children on role for the eligible cohort on 1st September 2017 and 1 st September 2018 This will be the same data produced for the performance management reporting tool Immunisation Performance management reporting tool KSS school immunisation programmes CQUIN V11 2
