The patients can be successfully treated using NAs, but drugresistant hepatitis B virus (HBV) mutants frequently arise, leading to treatment failure and progression of the disease. This paper has reviewed the mechanisms of resistance to NAs, and consensus on the management and prevention of HBV resistance to NAs.
