Tuesday, Feb 6 th 2018 Dr. Enrique Diaz Guzman Mexico Aesthetic Zone with Flowables Dr Enrique Guzman has given more than 90 courses 17 in 4 Different Continents between 2014 America, Europe, Asia, Africa And in 2015-2017 he was the International Speaker for the MicroVisionGroup, Ivoclar Vivadent, and BAIRD British Academy of Implant and Restorative Dentistry. In this lecture, we will demonstrate the handling behaviour of injectable flowable composites in aesthetic restorations. The advantageous of this new revolutionary technique is minimal tooth invasiveness and polishing while still obtaining excellent morphology results and optical aesthetics with minimal chair time. The evolution of flowable composites in the last few years have shown that we can achieve lasting results from 3 to 5 years without any failure of adhesion to enamel. The success of the treatment is related to the Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ), and in ideal cases it will not be necessary to do preparations or anaesthesia. The main advantage of the technique is the short chair time as well as morphological preservation from diagnostic wax up, planning and or digital smile design while been a completely reversible technique. In 2011 Dr Guzman completed a Diploma in Implant Surgical of Prosthetic Autonomous from the University of Ciudad Juarez UACJ and a bachelor of Dental Surgeon in 2009 from Autonomous University of Baja California UABC In 2015 Dr Guzman received the Excellence in Prosthodontics Award by the AIOP " Asosiación Italian Prosthetic Dentistry " and APS "The American Prosthodontic Society " AIOP ceremony at the 34th International Congress and 88th The Annual Meeting of the American Prosthodontic Society. He also holds the Digital Smile Design Certification DSD Master with Christian Coachman for Mexico City. Dr Guzman received his Diploma in Implant Surgical - Prosthetic Biotechnology Institute Mexico City and his Specialty in Prosthodontics from the Intercontinental University, Mexico City in 2015. Diagnosis and planning for successful treatment. Step by Step technique of flowable injections, limitations and advantages. Minimal invasion based on depletion guides when necessary. Polishing protocol and high brightness of restorations.

Tuesday, Mar 13 th 2018 Dr. Jeff Okeson USA Understanding Occlusion and How It Is Related to TM Disorder Dentists are the only health care providers that change patient's occlusion. Therefore, dentists must understand when occlusal factors contribute to mastication dysfunction. Equally important is, when occlusal factors do not relate to dysfunction. This presentation will describe orthopedic stability in the masticatory system and establish sound treatment goals for dentists who change patient's' occlusion. Indications will be presented regarding when occlusal changes are indicated for TM Disorders. Dr. Okeson is Professor, Division Chief and Director of the Orofacial Pain Program, which he established in 1977. Dr. Okeson has more than 240 publications in the area of occlusion, TM disorders and orofacial pain in various national and international journals. He has authored two textbooks on TM disorders and orofacial pain, which have been translated into eleven different languages. Dr. Okeson is a very sought-after lecturer on the subject of TMD and orofacial pain and has presented more than 1200 invited lectures on the subject of TMD and orofacial pain in all 50 states and in 55 different countries. He has received the campus wide University of Kentucky Great Teacher Award, the Provost s Distinguished Service Professorship, the American Academy of Orofacial Pain s Service Award, the Acorn Award for the outstanding professor in the state of Kentucky and the first ever Distinguished Alumni Award from the College of Dentistry. Dr. Okeson has also received The International Dentist of the Year Award from the Academy of Dentistry International. This is the highest award recognized by this Academy and was given to him in recognition of his worldwide efforts in providing education Describe orthopedic stability as it relates to the masticatory structures. Describe the most stable joint position. Understand the role of anterior guideline and how it relates to TM Disorders.

Wednesday, May 9 th 2018 Dr. Leonardo Bacherini Italy The Esthetic and Functional Rehabilitation of Compromised Dentition: Analog Versus Digital Technologies Some esthetic and functional parameters can significantly affect the outcome of the prosthetic rehabilitation of a compromised dentition. Properly addressing those factors through an accurate preoperative analysis and a correct data transmission to the dental lab will undoubtedly facilitate the achievement of a predictable and successful result. Nowadays the approach to the prosthetic rehabilitation is rapidly evolving due to the application of revolutionary clinical procedures and technologies. An innovative operative protocol allows the clinician to face highly compromised clinical situations, with a minimally invasive prosthetic procedure (MIPP) guaranteeing a remarkable, long-lasting resistance of the restorations, while maintaining a maximum amount of enamel. From a technological viewpoint, the goal is to switch from traditional to a digital workflow with the support of software such as GETApp for treatment planning, 3D intraoral scanners for impressions, and CAD/CAM systems for the fabrication of the restorations. Dr. Leonardo Bacherini received his dental technology certificate in 1988 at Istituto Tecnico Leonardo da Vinci in Florence, and after graduating in Dentistry at the University of Florence in 1995, he followed several annual and biennial postgraduate programs with highly qualified Italian lecturers such as Dr. M. De Sanctis, Dr. M. Fradeani, Dr. M. Molina and Dr. M. Simion. He has been a member of the Nobel Biocare Mentor Project performing live surgery courses, he lectures nationally and internationally on prosthodontics and implants and he has been appointed Master Tutor of the ACE Institute, Dr. Mauro Fradeani s Educational Center. Member for more than ten years of the Italian Society of Prosthetic Dentistry, he is an Active Member of the Italian Academy of Esthetic Dentistry. He is the author of scientific articles published in Italian and international magazines and he focuses his professional activity mainly on Prosthodontics and Implants in his private practice in Florence. Upon completion of the course, participants should be able to: Perform an ideal esthetic and functional treatment plan with a digital approach. Learn innovative operative protocols with minimally invasive prosthetic procedures (MIPP) for long-lasting esthetic results. Understand advantages and disadvantages of the use of the digital technology in the daily practice. Nowadays the selection of the appropriate digital system is crucial to collect and manage all the esthetic and functional parameters of the patient as well as to fabricate precise and reliable restorations.

Tuesday, Jun 19 th 2018 Dr. Warren Roberts Canada The Therapeutic Use of Botulinum Toxin in Dentistry and The Cosmetic Side Effects Have you dabbled in botulinum toxin (aka Botox ) treatment? Want to learn more? The multiple mechanisms of action of botulinum toxin type A have an impact far beyond facial wrinkles. A detailed understanding of the anatomy of the face and neck is paramount to successful therapeutic and cosmetic treatment with botulinum toxin. Learn how the secondary and tertiary mechanisms of action affect pain modulation and have a major impact on adjunctive therapy for TMD and headache treatment. Muscle relaxation of sensitive periodontal tissues with botulinum toxin type A prior to surgery can have a significant influence on implant success. Learn how botulinum toxin type A can impact your practice in ways you have never before considered! Dr. Warren Roberts is a general dentist who has been in practice in Vancouver, BC for over 35 years. After attending several Botox and facial rejuvenation training programs earlier in his career, Dr. Roberts was concerned with the level of training that was being provided in this field. To be an exceptional practitioner with no negative side effects, Dr. Roberts believes you need not only a deep level of understanding of head and neck anatomy, but also a deep understanding of specific practices and injection techniques that make the patient experience remarkable. The result was the development of PTIFA a training institute that provides an unprecedented depth of clinical theory, hands-on teaching and practice integration (including team training modules) in the field of facial rejuvenation (Botox, fillers, lasers, and more) into practice. Today, Dr. Roberts is now a leading botulinum toxin educator in North America, whose teaches physicians, dentists, nurses and whose practice is the number one dental provider of Botox in North America. Since 2008, he has trained over 7,000 doctors nationally and internationally, and has treated hundreds of botulinum toxin patients. Through his commitment to delivering excellence in this field, his program content and educational model is now being adopted by various regulatory boards across Canada. In addition, the Dr. Roberts has developed the following templates and procedures which are setting the standard for treatment in facial rejuvenation: Roberts Facial Rejuvenation Photography series which generates 99% case acceptance rate the PTIFA Cosmetic Marking Template the PTIFA Therapeutic Marking Template the PTIFA Injection Technique the PTIFA Injection Rules achieve no negative side effects the Botox Set-up Tray the first Botox Study Club To illustrate how the use of botulinum toxin type A can interface with implants, TMD, perio, endo, ortho for more positive treatment outcomes. To explain the synergy between the cosmetic and therapeutic uses of Botox. To show how an in-depth understanding of anatomy is crucial for positive patient outcomes.

Tuesday, Jul 31 st 2018 Dr. Chris Ho Australia Managing the Complexities of Modern Dental Implant Treatment for Predictability and Success The success of dental implant treatment is well evidenced in the literature, however with increasing numbers of implants placed and time in-situ, the ability to provide complication free treatment is becoming a concern. Peri-implant problems have become an ever-increasing problem for dentists and dental companies, with much of the recent focus on implant surfaces and connections as well as how to manage complications. Biological and technical complications along with increasing demands from patients for natural aesthetics are challenging as well as problems that are here to stay. The importance of comprehensive diagnosis, treatment planning and execution is paramount in treating implant patients. This presentation will cover the common pitfalls that Dr Ho has seen over the last 20 years in prosthodontic and implant practice. Tips will be shared on how to overcome these problems, and importantly how to avoid or at least minimise them in the first place. Dr Christopher Ho is a Specialist Prosthodontist who received his Bachelor of Dental Surgery with First Class Honours at the University of Sydney. He completed postgraduate studies in the Graduate Diploma in Clinical Dentistry in Oral Implants at the University of Sydney, and a Masters of Clinical Dentistry in Prosthodontics with Distinction from the University of London. Furthermore, he completed a Doctorate in Clinical Dentistry in Prosthodontics from the University of Sydney and is Fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy. He conducts a large multi-disciplinary dental practice with general dental practitioners and specialists focusing on comprehensive dental care. In addition to his private practice, Dr Ho lectures extensively on aesthetic and implant dentistry both nationally and internationally. He is involved with the evaluation and development of new dental products and materials with several leading dental manufacturers. He was the Oral B spokesperson for Australia from 2012-2016. He contributes to the University of Sydney, having contributed to their undergraduate and postgraduate programs for over twenty years. Additionally, he lectures for the Oral Implant Diploma and Post-graduate Prosthodontic programs at the University of Sydney. He is a Faculty member of the Global Institute for Dental Education, Academy of Dental Excellence and is Visiting Lecturer at Kings College London, United Kingdom. He is author of numerous publications, as well as editor of the Wiley-Blackwell textbook Practical Procedure in Aesthetic Dentistry. He is in private practice in prosthodontic and implant dentistry in Sydney, Australia. Understand diagnosis and planning for dental implant treatment. Be familiar with the digital workflows possible for planning. Identify risk factors for dental implant therapy. Manage biological and technical complications with implant treatment.

Tuesday, Nov 27 th 2018 Dr. Stefano Gori Italy Multidisciplinary implant protocols for complex aesthetically compromised cases Implant-supported single tooth replacement in the esthetic area represents always a very challenging procedure. Sometimes the implant can be inserted immediately after the tooth extraction. In other cases the clinician has to manage already edentulous sites characterized by different degrees of alveolar bone process reduction. The lecture will focus on the importance of observing different specific, often multidisciplinary, protocols in order to obtain excellent esthetic results. After graduating summa cum laude in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Florence in 1986, he followed several postgraduate programs with highly qualified lecturers in Italy, Sweden and in the United States. He lectures nationally and internationally on periodontology and implantology. In this field he is an author of some publications. He also partecipated, as a reviewer, to Mauro Fradeani s book Esthetic Rehabilitation in Fixed Prosthodontics, Vol.1 and Vol.2. Member of the European Association for Osseointegration (EAO) and of the Italian Society of Periodontology (SIdP), he focuses his professional activity mainly on periodontology and implantology in his private office in Florence and in the dental clinic of Dr. Mauro Fradeani, with whom he has been working for over 18 years. Choose the proper timing for implant placement after the tooth extraction of an anterior tooth Know the pros and cons related to the immediate and deferred implant placement Apply the most appropriate clinical protocol to different clinical situations characterized by one single anterior tooth replacement.
