REBELS AUTO CLUB NEWSLETTER MARCH 2017 Hello Rebels! President s Message Can you believe the weather we re having? I have seen more classic cars and motorcycles out lately than I have ever before seen this time of year. I think last month s meeting was fantastic. I want to thank our VP Bob Moberly for doing an outstanding job getting it all set up. This was the first time my wife and I were ever at the Speedway Museum and we will have to go back for a complete tour. The Swap meet was today. I was helping in the Rebels booth and want to thank all those Rebels who showed up to work the event. It takes a lot of work to make the yearly swap meet a success. All I can say is, GREAT JOB REBELS! As we move into spring everyone is itching to get their cars cleaned and ready for the upcoming shows. We should also need to be out promoting our great club to see if we can get new members to join or ranks. I hope to see everyone at our next meeting. Bring a new member or guest with you. As always, drive safe keep the clean side up and the dirty side down. February Meeting and Dinner Founded in 1992 by Speedy Bill and Joyce Smith, the Speedway Motors Museum of American Speed is dedicated to preserving, interpreting and displaying physical items significant in racing and automotive history. The federally recognized 501 (c) (3) museum currently encompasses more than 135,000 sq. ft. over three levels. The vast collection results from the Smiths personal involvement in racing and hot rodding for more than six decades, and their lifelong passion for collecting and preserving historic automotive artifacts.
