Program, Page 5 Jorge Perdigão, DMD, MS, PhD, Professor, Division of Operative Dentistry, Department of Restorative Sciences, University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. Dr. Perdigão is involved in the research of new dental materials mainly in the area of dentin bonding and new composite resins. He has delivered over 250 lectures in Asia, Europe, North America, Oceania, and South America and has published over 140 scientific articles in international journals.he has served as an associate editor, section editor or an editorial board member for different professional journals in operative, esthetic/adhesive dentistry and biomaterials. Dr. Perdigão has also authored seven chapters on dental adhesion in several textbooks, including the Sturdevant s Art and Science of Operative Dentistry (Mosby), and is Editor and author of the books Restoration of Root Canal Treated Teeth: An Adhesive Dentistry Perspective (Springer) and Tooth Whitening: An Evidence-Based Perspective (Springer). Dr. Perdigão is a consultant for several manufacturers worldwide in the development of new adhesive dental materials and serves also as a consultant to the ADA Committee for Scientific Affairs and to the Federal Drug Administration. Christopher J. Walinski, DDS, Associate Professor and Director of Laser Dentistry, The University of Tennessee College of Dentistry; Visiting Professor at The Ohio State University and Taipei Medical University College of Oral Medicine; Visiting Lecturer at Harvard University. Dr. Walinski has been an author, inventor and innovator in Laser Dentistry for almost two decades. His 2003 text on laser dentistry has been published in over ten languages. He is a Founding Member of the American Academy of Oral Systemic Health, and the World Clinical Laser Institute, from which he has received Masters certification and is the current Executive Director. Dr. Walinski is the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Laser Assisted Dentistry, is a Diplomate and Past-President of the World Congress of Minimally Invasive Dentistry, and sits on numerous boards worldwide.
