EconovaPlus Fertiliser The complete plant growth fertiliser, bio-stimulater & carbon control solution. A bio-fertiliser based on the need for organic mineral complexes in the soil. Manufactured by building a matrix to hold minerals, organic substances and clay in bio-organic chelates. - Acts as a sophisticated soil conditioner - Reduces early frost effects - Greatly reduces leaching and subsequent contamination of watercourses - Reduces attacks by soil parasites - Increases background fertility for following crops

Product Information Contents and Action of ECO-NOVA Bio-Fertilisers. Eco-Nova Bio-Fertilisers contain the main building blocks for plant growth; N (nitrogen), P (in the form of phosphates P2O5) and K (in the form of potash K2O). In addition they contain trace elements including Fe (iron), Mg (magnesium), Mn (manganese), Cu (copper), Zn (zinc), Bo (boron), Mo (molybdenum), Ca (calcium) and S (sulphur). All of these elements are in forms readily taken up by plants. Very importantly, in addition to the above they contain organic carbon compounds for healthy plant growth. Emphasis is given to the importance of carbon containing substances and their value as fertiliser ingredients in conjunction with minerals required by plants. Active carbon compound substances have molecular weights that together form the hydrophilic, polyelectrolytes making up active organic matter. These function to give the soil, structure, porosity, water holding capacity, and are involved in the chelation of mineral elements. These carbon compounds are composed of carbon, oxygen, hydrogen, nitrogen and sulphur. Some typical components are: Organic acids, polypeptides, lignins, esters, phenols, ethers, carbonyls, lipids, peroxides, various combinations of benzene, acetal, ketal, lactol, furons. These elements are bound in organo-mineral molecules in a form that can be readily utilised by various living organisms. As a result they function in metal complexing systems known as chelation.

ECO-NOVA IN THE CONTEXT OF FROST PREVENTION ECO-NOVA Bio-Fertiliser formulations in liquid form can be used to moderate various extreme climatic and soil conditions. For example: ECO-NOVA formulations can counteract extremes of ph conditions in the soil because they act as buffering solutions. They suppress the action of pathogens in the soil by inhibiting the action of enzymes produced by the pathogens. They block the action of heavy metals by incorporating these in complex molecules which can t enter the plant cells. ECO-NOVA formulations can reduce the effects of high salinity in the soil by reducing salt uptake by plants. The effects of extreme temperatures are moderated. Especially under low temperature, it is important to build a strong cell wall structure. It is, also, very important to increase the porosity of cell walls. Nutrients must be able to pass through cell walls with ease, both into the cells and out of the cells. This should happen even when the strength of the cell wall is increased. ECO-NOVA Fertilisers when applied at the appropriate time maintain strong cell walls and keep equilibrium between cell contents and inter-cellular spaces. These conditions apply to fruit crops of all kind and especially to grape vines. ECO-NOVA Bio-Fertilisers can be applied to the roots of the plants or as a foliar spray. Eco-Nova formulations increase Beneficial Soil Organisms. These generally lack chlorophyll and hence, the photosynthetic mechanism to capture energy from the sun. They survive on residual carbon containing compounds in the soil. Beneficial soil organisms such as algae, yeast, bacteria, fungi, beneficial nematodes and other small animals perform many functions which influence soil fertility and plant health. Bacteria produce organic acids which help to release and dissolve mineral elements bound up in the soil and mineral chemical fertilisers. THE WATER HOLDING CAPACITY OF THE SOIL is greatly influenced by Eco-Nova formulations which contains organic carbon complexes. Water exchange with the atmosphere produces open friable soil. Complex carbohydrates synthesised by bacteria and organic carbon molecules function together with clay, silt and sand to form soil aggregates to produce friable soil, the primary feature of soil fertility. INACTIVATION OF TOXIC SUBSTANCES - ECO-NOVA formulations have electrically charged sites within its organic surfaces which attract and inactivate pesticides and other toxic substances which can persist in the soil. BUFFERING EFFECT OF SOIL ph - ECO-NOVA Bio-Fertiliser buffers the hydrogen ion concentration in the soil. Once the soil is neutralised in this way, then many trace elements which have been bound up in the soil become available to plants. STABILISATION OF SOIL ENZYMES - Soil enzymes which are complex proteins are stabilised by covalent bonding which occurs by use of ECO-NOVA Bio-Fertiliser. CHELATION OF HEAVY METALS - The addition of ECO-NOVA Bio-Fertiliser to the soil prevents the uptake of heavy metals. When toxic heavy metals such as mercury, lead and cadmium are chelated, these organo-metal compounds are not taken up by plants.

MINERAL - ORGANIC - COMPLEXES - Soil formation involves a process of forming complexes of transitional mineral elements such as copper, zinc, iron, manganese, magnesium, phosphorous, potassium from soil minerals with organic acids and clay. This process inhibits crystallisation of the mineral elements and keeps them available to plants. UPTAKE OF MAJOR PLANT NUTRIENTS - ECO-NOVA Bio-Fertiliser has a stimulative effect on plant growth by enhanced uptake of major plant nutrients; nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P) and potassium (K) by up to as much as 60/70%. SEED GERMINATION AND SEED DEVELOPMENT - The application of ECO-NOVA formulations to seed will increase germination and produce greater vigour in seedlings, especially if these are present within the plant cells. PRONOUNCED PLANT ROOT GROWTH - When ECO-NOVA Bio-Fertiliser is applied to the soil, enhanced root initiation and increased root growth are observed. INCREASE IN CHLOROPHYLL CONTENT - When ECO-NOVA Bio-Fertiliser is applied to plant leaves or via the soil, the chlorophyll content of the plant foliage increases and more energy is absorbed from the sun. Under normal circumstances, plants absorb the sun s rays in the spectrum between 450nm and 650nm, but with the addition of ECO-NOVA Bio- Fertiliser, this range can be increased to between 250nm and 850nm. This diagram shows the range of light rays which plants can absorb from the sun using chlorophyll in their cells. Normally plants can only use light in the range X which is between 450nM and 650nM. Ingredient MORECO which is the activator combined with a complex of macro and micro nutrients can increase this range to Y1 at the blue end of the spectrum and Y2 at the red end of the spectrum which increases the whole range from 300nM to 850nM. Even 250nM is possible. An overall world increase in plant chlorophyll by a modest 5% would reverse global warming by increased intake of carbon dioxide. REGULATION OF PLANT GROWTH HORMONES - ECO-NOVA Bio-Fertiliser regulates plant growth hormones especially the inhibition of the enzyme, indole acetic acid (IAA) oxidase, thereby hindering IAA destruction and thus prolonging the productive life of plants

Application Rates for Eco-Nova Products Eco-Nova Bio-Fertilisers are sold in very concentrated form and must be diluted before application to plants. The concentrated Eco-Nova is sold in the form of a suspension (colloid) in a liquid and therefore must be agitated vigorously before being diluted as settlement during storage will occur, always shake well. Application direct to the Soil before planting. Dilute the product at the rate of one (1) litre of concentrate in 50 litres of water. Spray and work into the soil. For mature plants the rate of application is 1 litre of concentrate per 1000 sq. metres diluted in 50 litres water or pro-rata e.g. 10 litres of concentrate per one hectare diluted in 500 litres water. This dilute liquid can be applied through any form of irrigation system at minimum rate of 10 litres of concentrate per hectare or pro-rata. Please consult the supplier for each crop and method of application. For young or delicate plants the rate of dilution is 1 litre of concentrate in 100 litres of water. This diluted liquid can be applied through any form of irrigation system at 1000 litres/hectare or pro-rata e.g. 100 litres per 1000 sq. metres. Always consult the supplier concerning each crop and method of application. For individual established trees, the rate of dilution is 1 litre of concentrate in 50 litres of water. Apply at least 25 litres of this dilute liquid (1/2 litre concentrate) per tree. This dose can be repeated after 10 days or after each harvest. The manufacturer or representative should be consulted for individual cases e.g. only apply to trees before fruit set. After this stage apply to the soil round the roots. Eco-Nova is harmless to animals and humans after application to the crops. All ingredients in Eco- Nova products occur in nature.

The Econova Range of Products. Liquid fertiliser containing NPK nutrients together with a range of trace elements which are all highly chelated for fast uptake by the plants. In addition these nutrients are held in a molecular lattice which gives them a long lasting effect throughout the season. Liquid fertiliser using the same molecular structure as EconovaPlus but with the addition of plant hormones and enzymes which suppress soil parasites and cleans the soil profile. It s action is benign and is harmless to humans, animals and fish in the diluted form applied to the soil.
