radiation monitoring programs Tailored to your needs Dosimetry Services Division
OVERVIEW Mirion Technologies is comprised of five divisions delivering products, services, and solutions in the world of radiation detection and protection. From our 13 operating facilities across North America, Europe, and Asia we combine state of the art technology with exceptional service. Mirion Technologies Dosimetry Services Division (DSD) is the first name in dosimetry innovation. With over 44 years of dosimetry experience, we provide the most technologically advanced dosimeters on the market. Our line of dosimeters includes Genesis TLDs (thermoluminescent dosimeter), OSL (optically stimulated luminescence) and the revolutionary instadose line, exclusively developed by Mirion. Serving the needs of enterprise customers where there may be hundreds of employees, often in various locations, requires specific expertise and specialized program management. Our monitoring services are tailored to meet your requirements. We operate from our state-of-the-art facility in California, we continue to invest in the exploration of new technologies and enhance our processing capabilities through lean manufacturing. We have an unparalleled commitment to customer satisfaction from our customer and technical support teams to our robust web-based capabilities; our priority is You.
WEB BASED ACCOUNT MAINTENANCE PROGRAMS Managing dosimeters in your facility should not be time consuming. Our comprehensive, streamlined web-based account management capabilities make reporting and account maintenance a breeze. Our secure systems give you the ability to manage your account on your time. AMP SECURE WEB-BASED ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT PROGRAMS Account administrators can manage all the elements of a radiation monitoring program with AMP (Account Management Program). From managing individual wearers, devices, and locations, AMP provides real-time access to account details, dosimeter assignments, reports, and pertinent account information. AMP has multiple security levels, restricting users within an account from viewing other wearers data or changing account information. If you have instadose dosimeters within your account, additional functionality is available including: Performing real time readings and badge assignments for instadose 1 dosimeters. Setting automatic calendar dose reads, and badge assignments for instadose+ dosimeter models. Features: Customize your account to receive email notifications of available reports, or high dose notifications. Set authority levels for other administrators within your account to access certain features. Run queries and review dose histories. Manage badge assignments, individual wearer information, and locations. View available radiation reports.
MY DOSE RECORD (MDR) My Dose Record (MDR) provides a secure, easy and convenient way for your employees to access their dose history through our secure website. MDR provides you with more time to concentrate on other tasks instead of the time-consuming effort of distributing reports to each department. MDR gives real-time access to dose history in an easy-to-read-format. Whether one dosimeter or several are worn, the history for each is listed separately. CUSTOMER SUPPORT Mirion is committed as a company to customer satisfaction. We go beyond solving problems to help you find the best way to meet your radiation monitoring program needs. Our Customer Care department is staffed with highly trained individuals to provide you with outstanding support. CONSULTATION SERVICES Rely on us to assist in the planning and implementation of your radiation monitoring program. Our expert technical group is staffed with highly qualified health physics and radiation dosimetry experts. We can assist with the development of your inhouse radiation monitoring programs or provide you with tailored services such as training manuals, algorithms, or turn key monitoring programs.
INSTADOSE DOSIMETERS The instadose line of dosimeters is transforming the way facilities manage their radiation monitoring programs. Now immediate dose reads can be captured by smart phones, tablets, or internet enabled computers. With instadose dosimeters in your facility you can: Reduce the cost associated with running your monitoring program. Eliminate the collection of badges to be returned for processing. Access reports online eliminating the need to archive and distribute results. Increase compliance. Reassign badges online at anytime. Manage every aspect of your monitoring program with our secure web-based program.
INSTADOSE DOSIMETER With the first generation instadose dosimeter dose reads are performed immediately from any computer with internet access by connecting the instadose dosimeter to the USB port and logging on to our secure web-based program. Benefits: Unlimited dose readings performed online No battery replacements or calibration No special software required Technical Specifications instadose Dosimeter Description Badge Type 31= instadose 1.0 Accreditations/Approvals/Licenses Direct Ion Storage device with USB connector NVLAP (Code: 100555-0) HSE DS 49/2010 (United Kingdom) Various other country accreditations/ approvals Minimum Reportable Dose Useful Dose Range Energy Response 3 mrem (0.03 msv) 1 mrem (0.01 msv) upon request 1 mrem - 500 rem* (0.01 msv - 5 Sv) Photon 5 kev - 6 MeV *the instadose dosimeter can be read at your facility up to a cumulative dose of 12 rem (0.12 Sv), for exposures exceeding this limit or used outside of occupational monitoring the device would need to be sent to Mirion Technologies Dosimetry Services Division for processing /reporting, additional fees may apply.
INSTADOSE+ DOSIMETER MODEL: The instadose+ dosimeter utilize Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) Technology to wirelessly transmit real-time dose data to your smart devices, or to the instadose line of communication products; instalink-usb or instalink hotspot stations. Automatic dose reads are set using a configurable calendar. Manual reads are performed by pressing the button located on the back of the badge. Improve the management of your dosimetry program by: Eliminating the badge collection process Increasing compliance Tracking and controlling dose for high risk employees Reading intervals set for dose trending Alerting e-mails sent when a dose exceeds a user specified level COMMUNICATION METHODS The following communication devices are used to capture reads from instadose+ badges that are within range: Smart devices with BLE technology with the instadose app installed PCs with an instalink-usb connected instalink Hotspot Stations Technical Specifications instadose + Description Badge Type 32= instadose + Direct Ion Storage device with BLE Technology Accreditations/Approvals/Licenses NVLAP (Code: 100555-0) Minimum Reportable Dose 3 mrem (0.03 msv) Useful Dose Range 1 mrem - 500 rem* (0.01 msv - 5 Sv) Energy Response Photon 5 kev - 6 MeV
DOSIMETER SELECTIONS Mirion also offers the traditional mail in dosimetry service with exchange periods from monthly, quarterly, or semi annual. The most requested mail in dosimeters include our Genesis Ultra TLD, MeasuRings, and APex OSL. GENESIS ULTRA TLD The Genesis Ultra TLDs respond accurately to beta, gamma, X-ray and neutron radiation. The response of each element is corrected by the application of its own unique element correction factor and allows for the reporting of deep, lens of eye and shallow doses. MEASURING Ring dosimeters provide accurate readings for the radiation received to extremities. Our MeasuRing is bar coded and consists of a lithium fluoride element in a single-piece construction. The MeasuRing can be immersed and cold sterilized. APEX OSL The APex dosimeters slim profile and light weight (2.8 x 1.6 ) makes the badge easy to wear on the body or extremities. Even when exposed to extreme temperatures or moisture the dosimeter will provide accurate dose readings. As with other OSL technologies, APex can be re-read multiple times, enabling re-evaluation into unusual exposures.
