Page 2 CADILLAC MOOSE LODGE #531 LODGE #531 Hello once more, FROM THE WOTM May starts new year for your Chapter. Elections have been held and you have four new Officers. Senior Regent: Dawn Kietzman, Junior Regent: Rea Ann Schuneman, Sec./Treasurer: Gail Schroeder and Recorder: Barbara Panasiewicz. I believe this will be an exciting, fun year. We have some great Ladies taking charge. May 6, 2017, is the party for the new and old Officers. Please join us to thank these ladies for their leadership and volunteerism for the past and future of your Chapter. I would like to thank you for the donations for the Children s Easter Party. We filled approximately 300+ eggs with coins and candy. We also bagged up candy for them to take home and fed them a light lunch. So you see how important your donations are. Our Red Cross Blood Drive will be held on May 27 starting at 12:00pm to 5:45pm. Please make your appointment ahead of time to ensure you get the time slot you need. I want to remind you that the LOOM has their Car Show coming up on June 18. It is also one of the larger functions of the Chapter. Will be contacting you for baked goods for our Bake Sale..Until next month, God bless Mooseheart and Moosehaven. Respectfully yours, Karen Panasiewiicz, Sec./Treasurer TO OUR MEMBERS MUSIC AND DANCING EVERY FIRST SATURDAY OF THE MONTH. MUSIC BY MARK EUCHRE SCHEDULE MAY 20 START TIME IS 7:00PM Many of us have joined organizations throughout our lives. We have joined Boy Scouts, High School Clubs, Rotary, Lions and on and on. What did we want from our membership in these organizations? Did we achieve our goals in these organizations? What did each of us do to achieve these goals and if we failed to achieve our goals, why? Now we members of the Loyal Order of Moose. What are your goals as members of the Moose? Have you shared your goals with your Lodge, District or Region? Do you attend meeting to help achieve your goals and the goals of fellow members? Do you sit back and wait for someone else to attain your goals ad then complain when your goals are not met? What is your responsibility in the achievement of your goals? It is easier to reach a destination when you know what that destination is and it is the same for goals in any organization. We cannot reach our goals if we do not know what they are and we cannot know what they are if they are not expressed. We are the Loyal Order off Moose!!It is not we and them - it is us. It is heard too often, no one form the Lodge has contacted me so I do not want to be member any longer. Yes, we should be reaching out to our members, but you are part of the we and should be part of the effort reaching out to our members. Please! Please! Please do not sit in the background being disappointed that things are not happening at the Lodge or within in the District. We all need to be active and wonderful things can take place and a pride can be felt by all within the Lodge. As LOOM members we should reach out to other members, especially to those members not seen for a while or who are sick or not able to attend meetings. We should make a special effort to let those members know what is happening at the Lodge and discuss how those members can still help the Lodge reach its goals. Invite those members to the next meeting, to the next activity or the next planning session. You do not need to be an Officer to invite members to be become more active. MEMBERSHIP ACTIVITY is what helps the Lodge be successful!! WHAT DO YOU WANT? CADILLAC MOOSE LODGE #531 HOUSE COMMITTEE
