My core research program focuses on identifying the psychological foundations of sexual morality, with a special focus on how sexual morality varies across individual and cultural contexts. Current research projects include a massive 50-culture study of sexual morality and a large within-culture study of individual differences in sexual morality that focuses on gender, personality, and mating strategy. TEACHING AND MENTORING INTERESTS My goal is to inspire academic curiosity and passion for deep learning in my students. My prior teaching experience has allowed me to discover the teaching strategies that work best in different learning settings. I love to teach small classrooms that allow individualized attention, advanced subject matter, and more involved activities (e.g. conducting research projects). I also have extensive experience with The University of Texas s Synchronous Massive Online Class (SMOC). SMOCs utilize online technologies to reach a large undergraduate audience. Many of these advanced technologies can be used to encourage student learning and engagement in classrooms of all sizes.
