Co-Investigator for the (KSU)-Alcohol, Drug Addiction, & Mental Health (ADM) Crisis Center Study, ONGOING to examine the prevalence of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and cigarette smoking in a sample of substance dependent individuals undergoing detoxification. Primary Investigator for the Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Alcohol Use among College Students Study, ONGOING to examine potential vulnerability factors that may make alcohol use in the context of posttraumatic stress symptoms more likely. Project Manager for the Sleep and Heart Rate Study, 2009-2010 Duties included administering an online survey to participants, screening participants responses to determine eligibility, contacting participants and scheduling lab appointments, and training participants on the use of ambulatory actigraphy and actiwatch devices used in the study. Recruiter for the Hydrocortisone Study, 2008-2010 Duties included calling Akron City Hospital doctors several times a week to inquire about eligible trauma admits, screening potential participants to determine eligibility, and collecting data from those deemed eligible. 2
Primary Investigator for the Individual Differences in Juror Decision Making Study: Honors Research Project in Psychology, 2006-2007 Duties included the planning and implementation of the study, the collection of data and the entry of data into SPSS, the analysis and interpretation of data, and the construction of a research manuscript. Project examined the impact of individual difference variables on information processing in mock jurors within the context of a capital punishment case. Data Manager for the Velocity as a Predictor of Performance Satisfaction, Mental Focus, and Goal Revision Study, 2006-2007 Duties included data collection; data entry; performing literature reviews; writing a research manuscript concerning the antecedents of achievement goals.
