Marbella Monthly Edition Wednesday February 16, 2011 Safety and Security By Felix Vazquez On Wednesday February 9, 2010 the board of directors voted to a hire Doral Security Patrol to provide Marbella Park with 24 hour security guard protection at our East entrance. This company is licensed, bonded and insured; in addition its trained guards are licensed by the State of Florida. The board took action as it recognized that the system implemented by the previous administration, of hiring untrained, unlicensed greeters to man the guard gates was unacceptable. The new contract will provide uniformed, licensed, professional security personnel with a lot less liability and exposure to Marbella Park. Safety and Security Continued from front... Marbella Park will save approximately $12,000.00 a year in security expenses. The Board is finalizing a contract with Doral Security Patrol and they hope that, by March 1st, they will be able to begin the process of updating the resident and owner computer database that will be utilized by its guards to allow access to our community. It is particularly important that the guards have up-to-date information on all residents, only then can they effectively perform their duties of keeping Marbella Park safe.
