Regional EWI Chapter Forum Hosted by EWI of Chattanooga April 13, 2019 Hunter Museum Chattanooga, TN 2019

Purpose and Goals The purpose of a Regional Chapter Forum is to bring together Board Members, future leaders and members from chapters within a local region for the benefits of networking, sharing best practices, discussing challenges and brainstorming new ideas. The Forum provides a setting for neighboring Chapter Board Members, Committee Chairs, and Members to connect and bond, and offers an opportunity for growth through the exchange of success stories and lessons learned. Attendees All current and incoming Chapter Board Members, Committee Chairs, future leaders, and all members are invited to attend the Forum. The Corporate Board is also invited to attend. The goal is that all chapters in the region are represented at the Forum, with as many Board Members from different Board positions in attendance as possible. The attendee list may be expanded to include incoming Chapter Board Members, Past Presidents, Committee Chairs and other members who are interested in serving their chapter in the future. EWI of Chattanooga is honored to extend an open invitation to this Forum to all EWI Chapter Representatives who would like to attend. Registration Fee The registration fee for attendees includes two meals on Saturday, keynote speakers, work sessions, and any meeting materials. (Friday night dinner is not included.) Session Speaker: DeJuan Jordan Life Shifts: Thriving in the Midst of Change and Transition There comes a time in every person s journey when life shifts, bringing with it change and transition. Change and transition are inevitable and extremely important to personal growth and organizational success. Whether you are experiencing change, going through a transition or leading others through it, the process can be a time of uncertainty, discomfort, confusion and can feel as if everything is falling apart; when in fact things may actually be falling into place. Understanding how to navigate and manage life shifts are the key to thriving and leading in the midst of change. When you are aware of what s taking place and are clear about the process, a life shift can be a wonderful and enjoyable experience. This presentation will teach you how to manage the shifts, identify the difference between change and transition, discover what stage of the process you are in, and teach you how to manage and embrace the process while enjoying the journey. Special Keynote Speakers: Christa Mannarino Mindful Leadership You work long hours, have non-existent vacations, answer emails at 3:00 a.m., agree to flexible hours and then get angry when there s no answer to your question by 5:00 p.m. Don t be that leader. Leaders may feel compelled to push themselves harder than ever. But, experts say workaholism can do more harm than good. Striving for work/life balance is good for you, your family, your organization, and your employees. In this session, we will explore why purpose is the foundation of mindfulness and discuss how defining values personally translates professionally. Sonia Young, The Purple Lady The Purple Path of a Perfect Life
