Vitamin C in the juice from CJ might be destroyed by metal blades and heat of CJ. Oxidation might be another reason for the low vitamin C. CJ makes lots of air, which causes the fast oxidation. The reason why vitamin C from fruits is lower than from SJ is that the vitamin C from fruits is not be absorbed into body better than from SJ. It is known that you can absorb 17% of nutrition value when you eat fruits and 67% when you drink juice. Fruits has the highest value of β -carotene is fat solubility so juice from juicers do not have better value. β-carotene is not be destroyed by metal and heat so the results are similar between SJ and CJ. SJ is still better though. Flavonoid include a lot of functional composition such as anthocyanin, catechin and isoflavone. Beneficial effects of flavonoids on human health are partly explained by their antioxidant activity. Because of the antioxidative property, it is suggested that flavonoids may delay or prevent the onset of diseases (such as cancer) induced by free radicals. Flavonoids have been reported to have negative correlation with incidence of coronary heart disease. Flavonoid appears to improve absorption of vitamin C. Concurrent flavonid may aid in the absorption of Vitamin C dietary supplements.
