1999 Advocating for psychotherapeutic treatment needs of the severe and persistently mentally ill (in conjunction with the Psychology Department of Bronx Psychiatric Center and NYSPA s Task Force on Managed Care and NYSPA s Insurance Committee). Surveyed state hospital psychologists and prepared critique of the proposed treatment guidelines for schizophrenia at the request of NYSPA s Task Force on Managed Care. Represented NYSPA on this subject in its initial meeting with Magellan to have input in the development/revision of their treatment ("best practices") guidelines which will affect all participating providers and have longer-term implications for all psychologists who treat schizophrenic patients. 1997-2001 Member, NYSPA Task Force on Managed Care.
