If you find it a tough pill to swallow: Pharmacists did a study and found 2 methods that helped: Pop bottle method helped 63% of participants: place the pill on your tongue and close your lips around the opening of a water bottle. Take a drink, sucking out the water and then swallowing the water and pill. The water bottle should squeeze in on itself while you do it. Head tilt helped 90% of people: put the pill on your tongue and take a medium sip of water. Don t swallow right away! Bend your head forward, tilting your chin toward your chest and then swallow the pill and water with your head bent forward (works best with capsules which float towards the back of the mouth ). OR see if you can get the medication in a liquid form Consider crushing tablets or opening capsules and mixing with food Tablets can sometimes be split with a pill splitter into smaller pieces
