Page 8 Helping Hands Page 9 HSC Board Hello Members, What an AMAZING social we had in January. It was so much fun to have the Act4Murder crew do a dinner theater event. We all laughed and were shocked at the end. We even went home with some wonderful prizes. I am looking forward to our next event in February. If learning how to make a wreath is something you are interested in, please join us. Since the Spring is our busiest time of year, we have a lot of things in the works: our scholarship applications are now available and ready to be filled out, our Auction Committee is in full force getting ready for everything auction, and who could forget about our Annual Bingo Social... NOT ME! With each new member that joins, we grow into a bigger and closer family. Everyone has something important to contribute and we all look forward to what is added to the group. Invite your friends and tell them what a wonderful group you are a part of. As a reminder, nominations are now open for the next year's HSC Board. Please nominate someone you think would be a good fit for our board or nominate yourself. Everyone is needed and everyone has something to offer. I hope you all have a wonderful February and we look forward to seeing you at any of the events we have planned for this month. Lindsy Flannery HSC President, 2016/2017 Page 10 HSC Membership 1

Become a member of the Hurlburt Spouses Club. We d love to have you! History Since 1961, HSC has been committed to providing the spouses of Hurlburt Field an active and welcoming organization where spouses can promote and participate in charitable activities for both the military and civilian communities, and be part of a supportive and inclusive group that seeks to make life better for each other. Membership Information The HSC is an ALL RANKS club. All spouses (enlisted, officer, DoD, Active, Reserve, Retired all branches) may join. Membership dues are $5 per month ($60/year). Spouses of E-1 to E-4 do not pay dues. Membership dues can be paid in cash, check, or Club Card (the AF Club Card is the only credit card that can be used for dues). If you need more information or have any questions, please contact hsc.mmbrship@gmail.com. Membership Benefits When you become a member of the HSC, your $60 annual fee goes into the Administrative side of the Budget. This means is that it ALL COMES BACK TO YOU, the member. It is one of the perks of being a member. We use that $60 to buy decorations for socials, door prizes at socials, welcome gifts, farewell gifts to those moving away, cards for new mommas, cards for those who are very ill or have surgery, some of the food at a potluck, and many more things. At the monthly HSC member socials, if you purchase raffle tickets from the Ways and Means table, you also benefit from these funds. Proceeds raised are used to buy more raffle gifts and bigger and better door prizes for the next socials! These are just a few of the benefits of becoming an HSC member and the great things that come back straight to you!
