5 Achievements Following my successful completion of the fellowship course at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, the University of Nairobi was selected as an affiliate Ultrasound Training Centre of the Jefferson Ultrasound & Research Institute, Thomas Jefferson University. The institute donated two ultrasound machines and supports us with teaching aids in form of CDs, DVDs, video tapes and a several text books. The Department has developed a Medical Ultrasound Diploma Course of which I have been a principal contributor. I represented the department in the review of the Undergraduate curriculum which saw the introduction of continuous assessment tests underscoring the important role of imaging in the making of an international doctor. I have fully participated in reviewing the Master of Medicine in Diagnostic Imaging and Radiation Medicine. I have been the principal coordinator in the development of the syllabus and curriculum for Diploma course in Ultrasound. I am a founder member of the Kenya Society of Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology (KESUMB) and played a major role in structuring KESUMB constitution and registration. I teach hands on ultrasound to postgraduate radiology residents as well as giving introductory and basic ultrasound skills to medical residents from other disciplines and undergraduates. Each day I perform about 20 ultrasound examinations. HOBBIES Reading Listening to music References: 1. Dr. M. N.
