George goober Lindsey Just looking at George s photograph you can hear the familiar whistling tune and see Andy and Opie walking down by the fishing hole in Mayberry. The world fell in love and still continues to enjoy side splitting laughter at the antics of this beloved comedic actor as the filling station guy, Goober on the Andy Griffth Show.
