HSWA Family Picnic Dear Members, As the season of Spring brings a lovely energy to the residents of Perth, Hindi Samaj of WA invites you all to a day of fun at the Burswood Park on Sunday 27th November 2011 from 11am-3pm. Bring along your family & friends to enjoy a vivacious time with games organised by HSWA. This event is absolutely FREE! BYO food to share, chairs and rugs! Drinks will be provided by HSWA. Bharat Ko Jano (Know India) Prashnotri (Quiz) will also be held. There are limited number of teams, so get there on time and register your team on the day latest by 11:30am! HSWA Library Come and use our largest collection of Hindi books in Perth. Accessible for all members for no charge, we have a wide collection of Hindi books for all ages in our library. Be it a weekend storytelling or bedtime stories to autobiographies or just general knowledge books, we have it all. 9
Ek Tara Foundation Ek Tara Foundation a registered non-profit Charitable trust founded in 2010 focuses on enhancing life Skills and self esteem of underprivileged women and children in the slums of Delhi and villages of UP, with the objective of helping them achieve a status of independence and Self reliance. We believe that teaching underprivileged women and children personal and community hygiene, grooming how to conduct themselves with dignity and self confidence, reading, writing and vocational courses will empower them and help them find a way out of generations of poverty, subjugation and ignorance thus benefitting the whole country. 10
