THE ORIGIN OF THE EUROLIVER PROJECT Lack of adequate information about organ transplantation and organ donation in adolescents (up to 85 %) (ROELS 1996-7) Ever increasing gap between patients on waiting lists and transplanted patients 15-20 % constant refusal rate by next of kin even in a country with a high rate of organ donation ( 28 to 30 donors/pmh) Mr.Tobs life saving liver transplant and lack of altruism and communication in youth!
