Teams of 2-4 people set out on a quest to various locations throughout the city where challenges - either mental, physical, or food related - are completed for points. The first team to cross the finish line with the most points wins! Now in its 11th year, the Race is an initiative of The Salvation Army of Broward to fund programs and services for our clients who face multiple challenges and obstacles every day.

Programs & Services Emergency & Transitional Housing Provides homeless men, women and families temporary housing and support services to include: life skills, job skills, financial management, computer lab, transportation, medical referrals, case management, childcare, parenting classes, youth programs, GED/life skills training, food, and other services aimed at gaining permanent housing and economic independence.

Programs & Services (cont.) YES KIDS CAN! Empowers youth up to 17 years of age with social and educational opportunities aimed at homeless children in need of social, emotional and intellectual tools needed to be successful in school, at home and in life.

Homeless Prevention & Social Services Provides rent/mortgage assistance, housing relocation and stabilization services to include: mediation, credit counseling, security or utility deposits, utility payments, moving cost assistance and case management. Provides weekly supplemental groceries to needy families to prevent hunger. Daily community meals open to those in need.
