Before Your Appointment Your time is important to us. While proper care takes time, you deserve to be treated with respect for your schedule. When you call in advance to schedule your appointment, you will be reserved a specific time for your consultation or procedure. If you cannot keep your scheduled appointment, please call us so that we may reserve a new time for your care. Consultation Appointment Before your consultation, we will mail you forms to be completed prior to your arrival. Please bring these with you! Do you take medications? Bring a list! Any special medical needs? Power of attorney? Special xrays that you have? Bring them! Xrays from your dentists office that we can use we will obtain for you. Any questions? Call us ahead of your consultation for any concerns that you might have. Most questions will be answered during your consultation. Procedure Appointment All preoperative instructions will be in your consultation packet. As a reminder: Have you taken your preoperative medications that we prescribed? Are you going to sleep for your procedure? Make sure you remember not to eat or drink anything after midnight. Any questions? Call us ahead of your procedure for any concerns that you might have.

Procedures and Services Oral and maxillofacial surgery is the specialty of dentistry that includes the diagnosis, surgical and adjunctive treatment of diseases, injuries and defects involving both the functional and esthetic aspects of the hard and soft tissues of the oral and facial region. Implants Are you missing a tooth or multiple teeth? Do you have a problem with a tooth that cannot be repaired? Great news! You can have a new tooth or teeth! Dental implants replace missing teeth and restore your dentition. Missing teeth can lead to further tooth loss, loss of ability to eat the foods you love or loss of confidence in your smile. While most treatments for missing teeth are mere substitutions for the real thing, dental implants are replacements! Not sure what dental implants really are? We re here to show you. Models, videos, and a dedicated treatment coordinator will have you leaving your consultation with assurance that you have chosen the healthiest way to replace your missing tooth or teeth. Come see why Beacon Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons is known throughout the community for dental implant treatments. Most times your problem tooth can be replaced with a dental implant in one procedure appointment!

Extractions Oral and maxillofacial surgeons are specialists in removing teeth. Teeth that cannot be repaired can be removed quickly and easily. Your experience should be one of comfort and ease. Gone are the days of lengthy, difficult procedures. Most tooth removal appointments take less than 30 minutes! Wisdom teeth, or third molars, can cause lots of problems that timely removal can prevent. Pain, infections, damage to neighboring teeth, cysts, tumors and more can be the result of neglecting wisdom teeth. Your unique situation will be evaluated and recommendations for your treatment will be made simple. We re here to guide you through the process so that you can make a knowledgeable choice.

Radiology Services Radiology is an important part of most oral and maxillofacial treatments. Radiographs provide additional information for proper diagnosis and potential treatment. Our wide array of imaging options are available to obtain the crucial information for proper treatment. Only necessary images will be requested. We believe in the less is more philosophy for radiology. Facial Trauma Panoramic xrays Periapical xrays Temporomandibular joint imaging Tomography Cephalography We hope you never experience a facial injury. If you do, we can help. Fractures of any of the facial bones, lacerations, nonrestorable fractures to teeth and other services are provided. If you have had a serious injury, make sure you are evaluated by an emergency physician. If you are in need of facial trauma repair, we can assist you.

Anesthesia Comfort and safety are the most important aspects of anesthesia services. From local anesthetic to general anesthesia, we will provide a customized approach specific for your treatment and care. After a thorough clinical exam and review of your health history, anesthesia options will be personalized so that you can determine how you d best prefer to be treated. Oral and maxillofacial surgeons are the only surgical specialty to have a broad scope of anesthesia training integrated into our residency. You can rest assured that we utilize state of the art techniques for your anesthesia care. Pediatric care? Of course! Children are not small adults. They re special. We utilize child specific techniques for treating children in a way that minimizes anxiety and instills trust.
