There are many types of music but different people have different tastes about the kind of music they like to listen. I like a band which is not so famous in India. It goes by the name of 5 seconds of Summer er. There are four members in it and they are from Australia. The main reason I love them is their songs, which are not just songs, but an expression of their feelings, their story and

their life. The lyrics are about nature and I can listen to the same hundred times without getting bored. This is because every song has meaning rather I would say a deep meaning which compels me to listen to them time and again. The band holds a special place in my heart and 5 seconds of Summer, is definitely different from all the other bands. In Mahin Pradosh s words My favourite musical artist is none other than Justin Bieber. He has several albums to his credit even though he is just 23 years old. He is Flippy- haired, browneyed, and short for his age. Justin doesn t look like your average superstar but rather like an average teenager. In spite of all the fame and attention, he still remains humble and kind. In his own words, Coming from a small town in Canada and being below the poverty line, to where I am now is crazy. Justin grew up in Stratford, Ontario, Canada, a town with less than 40 thousand people. His mom, Pattie, had him when she was only 18. MY FAVOURITE ARTIST RAUNAK MEHTA- VIII-B My favourite artist is Arijit Singh. He is an Indian musician, singer, composer, and a live performer. He mainly sings in Hindi and Bengali. The songs sung by him, touch everyone s heart and are a hit with the youngsters. His journey as a singer is quite inspiring. At the age of 18, he participated in his first live show called Fame Gurukul. Unfortunately, he lost the competition and had to return to his hometown. He then signed many contracts and sang many songs but somehow success evaded him. But this was not the end. He never lost hope. He kept trying and finally was able to achieve success with his first song Phir Mohabbat. With this song, a trail of hit songs started and he finally made it big. The most important lesson to learn from him is to Never ever lose hope and failure is not the end, it s just a bend. This is what Amishee Sood ofviii C has to say about her Favourite Music Artist. Guru Randhawa is my favourite singer. He is a Punjabi singer and a songwriter. Randhawa is known for tracks like High rated Gabru, Patola, Fashion, Khat, Outfit, Tu meri rani, Taare and Southall. He has won one Grammy Award and has been listed four times by the

Forbes Magazine among the top 10 most powerful Celebrities in the World in 2011,2012,2013. Justin s songs always cheer me up no matter how low I am feeling. Avni Gupta of VIII-A has a lot to say about her FavouriteArtist. My favourite musical artist is Melanie Martinez. There are innumerable reasons to adore her. Apart from being beautiful and a brilliant singer, she has an undying passion for what she does. At first glance, her ideas seem cute and childish, but underneath the childish cover lies a powerful message, hidden for the ears of those who will listen. The theme of her songs is the imperfections in life and she presents them in a way that not only sends a message but also entertains her audience. She shows hardships in a way that compels everyone to listen and understand and this adds an element of emotion to her songs. Melanie is a true talent and inspiration for million of her fans. Ananya Mitra s Favourite Artist. One of my favorite artists is Ed Sheeran. He is an English singer-songwriter, and a guitarist. He was born in February 1991, in West Yorkshire, although he was raised in Suffolk. He started playing the guitar at a young age, and started singing at the age of four. I love his music because he is one of the few artists, who still has an acoustic sound to his songs, along with a modern vibe. The two go really well together, and that makes his music quite unique. He started recording music in 2004, and released 6 EPs until he released his debut single 'The A Team', which gained international recognition and topped charts for

weeks. Today, his name is one of the biggest in the music industry as of today, and his single, Shape of You has reached over one billion views on You tube. Besides that, I love his music because it has a lot of depth and meaning. Tons of emotions and feelings are compressed into just one of his songs, making them relatable and enjoyable. He sings about real-life situations which many other artists don t do. Sheeran s recent album, (read as Divide ) has songs which tell the story of his upbringing in Framlingham, his hometown. It s a unique way of telling his audience about his early life and childhood, and talks about many of the things he did as a child. It was extremely successful, topping charts within a few weeks of its release. Apart from, he has two other albums, + (plus), and x (multiply), which were released in 2011 and 2014 respectively. They were also huge international hits, and people started to like him for his inspirational content and eventually I became a supporter too. I listen to his music whenever I can and I always find something to suit my mood. My Favourite Artist : Taylor Swift Music is a way of expressing yourself through words and rhythm. Taylor Swift became my favourite artist way back in 2009, when I purchased her album. I instantly fell in love with the beauty in her lyrics and her skill to write and sing songs about real life experiences. She inspired me to play guitar and piano, which are now my favourite hobbies. Little We all love something or the other, be it dancing, painting or something that makes us happy, something that makes us forget our worries and tunes us out of the world. For me, that something is music. Particularly the music produced by a certain British girl- group called Little Mix. The four piece band was first formed in 2011 during the famous UK version of the singing competition called The X-Factor. They are the first and, so far, the only group to win this competition. At the beginning of the

competition, they started out as four strangers put together on a stage, and now, 6 years later, they are the biggest girl-group in the music industry and,most importantly, they are the best of friends. They inspire me in many ways; from their unbreakable friendship to their amazing vocal abilities, they never fail to impress me. Adele is Sarah Dalal s (VIII-D) Favourite Artist. The artist who really inspires me is Adele. There is something magical about her voice which is deep and strong, it leaves her fans spell-bound. Adele was born on 5 May 1988 in Tottenham, London. She is an English singer and song-writer who has composed songs of many genres including pop and blue-eyed soul. Some of her most popular songs include Skyfall, Hometown Glory, Rolling in the Deep, Hello, and Someone Like You. Her first album, 19 was released in the year 2008 which consisted of the first song she had written at the age of sixteen- Hometown Glory. She has won many awards like the Brit Awards. Adele will always remain my all time favourite.

Asha Bhosle--- ---Gitanjali s favourite singer. I like Asha Bhosle as she is best known for her playback songs in Hindi Cinema. She has participated in many solo concerts in India as well as abroad. She is the sister of the famous playback singer Lata Mangeshkar. Asha Bhosle's work has a lot of variety, ranging from film music to pop, from ghazals to bhajans, from traditional classical music to folk songs, not to forget qawwalis. Her chirpy songs compel me to dance and they always brighten up my day. Madhav talks about his Favourite Artist. This trio composedof three rappers,known by their stage names Quavo, Offset and Takeoff. The chart-topping hits were- Look at my Dab and Bad and Boujee. The trio released their debut album The young, rich nation in 2015 which was an instant hit. I like their style and the way they perform. My favourite Artist~Aakriti Kandhari (VIII-B) A person who can create awesome music possess power that none of us have. This is so true in the case of my favourite music artist - Niall Horan. He was previously in a band known as One direction but now he's a solo artist. He produces great music! The reason I like him and his work are the lyrics, which are both beautiful and mesmerising. The beauty of his music is enough to make me dance and sway. I find his songs very relaxing. There's a book in my heart that reads me his lyrics whenever I need to calm myself.i also like him because he is hardworking, which is reflected in his work. His voice brings me joy just like a cup of coffee on a rainy day. I really do wish to meet him one day.

Niharika of VIII-D is a JUSTIN BIEBER fan!! My Favourite Artist is none other than Justin Drew Bieber. He is super cute with a voice that leaves you asking for more! He was born on March 1st, 1994. He is a Canadian singer and a songwriter. His song SORRY is my personal favourite, the lyrics are beautifully written. One of his quotes that is very encouraging is Don't stress, Don tcry.we Need No wings to fly. He has been listed four times by Forbes magazine among the top ten most powerful celebrities in the world in 2011,2012 and in 2013. He also became the first artist to surpass 10 billion total video views on Vevo. I look forward to all his albums and videos. Daksh Rautela s Favourite Artist. My favourite artist is a youtuber called Dan TDM. His videos are fun, entertaining and hilarious and are kid friendly gaming videos. He does special shows meetups and gives presents to his fans and subscribers. Despite all the success and fame, he is very humble and down to earth. He is an inspiration to many people, including me. Dan TDM also contributes to a lot of charities, helping out differently abled children and does things for the betterment of the society. His basic mantra is Have fun, that is all that matters, which is very much true. I watch is videos daily because they make me happy and the day more pleasant.

My Favourite Band- One Direction One Direction is my favourite band. The band had five members : Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Zayn Malik, and Harry Styles. Zayn Malik left the band on 25 March 2015. Even though the remaining four have also since then broken up and are now pursuing individual careers, I still love the group a lot.they have released five studio albums,one extended play, seventeen singles, two video albums and fifteen music videos. I love the fact that, whenever I listen to them, I feel so happy. Even if I ve had a terrible day, when I play their songs, all bad feelings just vanish. Another thing that I really like about them, is that they care and love their fans. Each member of One Direction has a wonderful personality as well and all these reasons make them the best band in the world. She was born on 12 march,1984 to a Bengali Hindu family in Murshidabad, West Bengal. She is referred by the media as melody Queen or Queen Bee. She has made a name for herself in the industry. She is a versatile singer who can manage all types of songs. Moreover, her style of singing is very unique. This SA RE GA MA PA winner has been awarded with 6 Filmfare Awards, 3 Kerala State Film Awards, 4 National Film Awards, 9 Filmfare Awards South all for being best female playback singer. She has been honoured by House of Commons of the United Kingdom and in addition, the government of U.S has honoured her in the state of Ohio by declaring 26th June as Ghoshal Day. Her songs are like honey dripping in the ears and they are so melodious that you can t help but hum along while listening to them. I admire Shreya for her talent and hardwork.
