This year a 42-day, 20 stops poker run highlights the fundraising activities. There is still time to get in on the fun. Just stop by any Saturday by June 17 th to register and participate. Great prizes and fun await you. The activities after the run will be held at Threshermen's Park with music, food, bike games, and much more. See you there! The Boardtracker is a publication of the Harley Owners Group Chapter 3588 Janesville, WI. The sponsoring dealership is Boardtracker Harley Davidson Our next Boardtracker HOG Chapter Meeting is July 21st Reminder NO CHAPTER MEETING in JUNE See you in July and have a great Father s Day.

I had a chance to sit down with Paul and CeeCee the other day. We discussed the chapter, it's direction and the new exciting things that HOG has planned in the near future. I would like to first say thanks to all the officers. Every officer has come to the table with many great ideas and a positive attitude towards the future of our chapter and our dealership. Thank you Paul and CeeCee for all the support that you have shown me, the officers and the chapter! It is truly appreciated! Thank you for allowing me this opportunity to serve this chapter and its officers as their director, It has been a great experience! During my meeting with Paul and CeeCee I talked to them about my thoughts, concerns and the direction that I would like to see the chapter go. Which opened the conversation to speak about what is going on in Jeff Robbins my life. My wife and I have started our own bakery which has taken off and we are very excited about our new venture. We also found out that her doctors want her to go see a specialist in Cincinnati for Airway Reconstructive Surgery that she needs to help her breathe better. It is with great regret that May's chapter meeting was my last meeting as your director. I feel that as director that you should have someone who is focused on the success of the chapter and its members. I appreciate the opportunity, the support that I have received from you the membership, the officers, and the dealership. Thanks again for being apart of this new chapter and have a wonderful riding season!!! -Jeff John Harris Hello chapter members May was a very busy month of fundraiser's and events at the dealerships. I thought everything went well. We had some crappy weather so our attendance was down, but overall I thought we had some good turnouts. As of May 20th our director Jeff Robbins stepped down due to a busy family life and some medical issues with his wife. I wish him and his wife well on the medical issues. With that being said our general manager Paul Dwight asked me to be the new director and I accepted. So nothing in the chapter will change it will still be the fun and energetic group with many activities and events in store for the chapter. Hope to see all of you on the road or the dealership... LETS RIDE!!!! John Greetings HOG Chapter Members! I announced earlier that effective 5/20 our Director Jeff Robbins stepped down. Assistant Director John Harris was appointed Director effectively immediately. Please bear with us as we continue moving forward. Charter membership patches are available for those who have not received them. Please contact myself or Sandi Horner membership.boardtrackerhog@gmail.com for your patch. Thank you all for your continued support and patience. Sarah Harris Sarah I would like to thank everyone that has volunteered at MDA fund raiser and at the fund raiser for Camden park. We do have more events coming up for you to volunteer at and meet new people. Don't forget June 7th. is the first of this year. We are hosting the first bike night to raise money for MDA. We also have some rides coming up so come out and join us. See you all at the next ride or the first bike night. Lyle Lyle Boss I want to thank everyone that braved the cold weather to stop out at the Boardtracker open house and take part in the Camden fundraiser. It appears that after expenses we made $ 2600.00. This money goes to the Camden rebuilding fund. The rebuild will start the week of August 22, 2016. The money that our chapter donated to Camden will be used to buy a bench honoring our HOG chapter. More to follow on the design, it will have a motorcycle theme. Regards, Mary Mary Jackson Mary Page 2

Greetings members June marks the 22nd running of the MDA Tub Run and this year s event is shaping up to be one not to be missed. Our HOG chapter has been involved since its inception and together the run has raised more than $2 million for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. If this is your first time attending the event is a huge undertaking and it takes a lot of volunteers to make it happen. Se sure to thank a member of the Tub Run Committee for their dedication to this cause. We have plenty of rides set for this summer and a lot of events. Get out and ride! See you on the road. Don Don Carson Road Captain Phil Welch Now that the riding season is finally upon us I, want to remind everyone of a couple of rides coming up. Brakes and Tires The time to check your brakes and tires is every time you plan to ride. If you are not sure what you are looking for always refer to your M. O. M. ( Motorcycle Owner s Manual ). Before even pulling out of your garage make sure your hand brake lever pull and foot brake has a firm feeling and not spongy. Next, check your tires tread and pressure of BOTH your tires. Make yourself familiar with your own motorcycle to know the signs of wear on your tires and the way your brakes feel. The time not Dave MacDonald to check your brakes is when you are already in traffic without a controlled escape, or in the middle of nowhere and realize you have a problem. It might sound obvious or routine knowledge but you are balancing a two wheeled machine that weighs 500-900 pounds minimum, and with this machine there is very little that is obvious or routine. Checking the obvious or routine every time you roll out of your garage. It can be a lifesaving idea. Checking your brakes and tire pressure should be as essential as checking your fuel gauge. Whenever your local dealership does anything to your bike if they are reputable they should check the brakes, tire tread wear and tire pressure. When they advise you to replace either the brakes or the tires take their advice seriously. They are the professionals in motorcycle safety and they want your trust more than your money. If you have a question with their integrity get another opinion you do trust before you decide to ignore their advice. Have a good trusting relationship with a dealership so they can give you advise you can trust. You are responsible for the motorcycle you ride because it is your safety that will be compromised if you do not. I will sign off as usual by saying, stay alert and ride safe. Safety officer Dave Page 4
