Day 1: Sending and Receiving (Underarm Pass (Bump) & The Set(Volley) Lesson Objectives: Students review how to hit the volleyball individually. Students learn ready position and footwork Unit 1: Volleyball Week 2 Week 5 02/21-03/16 Day 2: Sending and Receiving Over the Net Lesson Objectives: Students review how to hit the volleyball in a game and how to receive the ball over the net. Students move to open spaces and try to defend their side Fitness Components: Laps around the gym while listening to music Lesson focus: Individual passing techniques with and without the net Example Activities: 4 Square Modification Health Education: Identifies the need for warm-up & cool-down relative to various physical activities. Day 3: Beep Test Lesson Objectives: -Students record how many intervals they can run without missing two beeps in a row -Students learn how to count and record the fitness test - Students choose a partner and line up on opposite lines (20 m apart) Example Activities: Beep Test- The test involves running continuously between two points that are 20 m apart from side to side Assessment Component: 30 % of Final Score (Based on 10% for Improvement and 20% on Skill Level) Day 5: Game Play & Skill Testing Lesson Objectives: Student s evaluation includes testing of the bump, volley and movement on the court Fitness Components: Quick laps around the gym to warm-up Lesson focus: Skill Testing: 1-The Bump 2- Volley Example Activities: Volleyball Round Robin- 6 vs. 6 Fitness Components: Laps around the gym while listening to music Lesson focus: Sending and Receiving in a team setting using the net and rotation rule in Volleyball Example Activities: Team Juggle, Newcombeball, Keep it Up Volleyball Day 4: Serving & Game Play Lesson Objectives: Students learn how to serve and review position numbering on the court and rotation Fitness Components: Laps around the gym and standing long jump practice Lesson focus: Students learn how to start a game and learn the underhand serve. Lesson focus: Passing/Receiving Ankle locked Follow through Knee bent, head up & eye contact Pass in front of the player you are passing to Receive by giving in a little Use inside of the foot Example Activities: Pass Through Cones to Partner/ 3 Person Passing/Monkey in the middle Day 4: Positioning & Shooting Lesson Objectives: Students continue passing and receiving techniques and learn how to create space. Fitness Components: 3 minute Warm up Students will run around a designated area for 3 minutes. Lesson focus: Creating Space- Students learn the importance of creating space to give more time and understand how to watch the ball. Example Activities: Passing on the move drills, 2 vs. 1 and 3 vs. 2 Day 5: Game Play Lesson Objectives: Soccer Game Play and Rules and regulations during a soccer match Fitness Components: Running laps around 2 nd F Lesson focus: Rules, penalties, and Game play Example Activities: 3 soccer games Lesson Objectives: Students practice shooting at a goal without a goalie. Fitness Components: They will also participate in game-like situations and drills with the soccer ball that will increase their fitness level. Lesson focus: Positioning and Zone soccer. Students practice staying in their positions while passing and defending up and down the floor. Example Activities: Zone soccer and shooting with accuracy Day 6: Game Play Lesson Objectives: Soccer Game Play and Rules and regulations during a soccer match Fitness Components: Running laps around 2 nd F Lesson focus: Rules, penalties, and Game play Example Activities: 3 soccer games Health Education: Charts and analyzes physical activity outside physical education class for fitness benefits of activities.

Day 1: Passing and Catching the Tchoukball Unit 3: Tchoukball Week 10 Week 13 04/16-05/11 Day 2: Ultimate Tchoukball Lesson Objectives: Students learn how to play Tchoukball. A cooperative handball game designed to foster teamwork rather than competition. Fitness Components: Students will run around a designated area for 4 minutes. Lesson focus: Passing and Receiving Example Activities: Partner shooting and rebounding -Passing and Catching the Tchoukball Health Education: Analyzes the impact of food choices relative to physical activity, youth sports& personal health. Day 3: Shooting & Catching Lesson Objectives: Students learn what can and cannot be done with the ball, as well as perform passes and catches within the rules of Tchoukball Fitness Components: Have the students partner up and jog around a set distance and have them pass the ball back and forth any way that they can Lesson focus: Frame Introduction and Rules -Shooting stationary and from a pass Example Activities: Shooting Stations Day 5: Tchoukball Game Play Lesson Objectives: Students will play a competitive and fun round of games, with an emphasis on cooperation. Fitness Components: Balance Fitness Testing- The Stork balance test Lesson focus: Testing Shooting and Rebounding drills and Tchoukball Game Play Lesson Objectives: Students practice and review passing concepts in a game situation Fitness Components: Students will run around a designated area for 4 minutes. Lesson focus: Passing and Receiving in an Ultimate game. Students work together passing the ball down the floor. (Tchoukball rules are implemented into the game.) Example Activities: Ultimate Tchoukball Day 4: Scoring & Positioning Lesson Objectives: Students learn how to play Tchoukball using basic rules and concepts. Students review basic skills in a game situation. Fitness Components: Warm up run around the gym Lesson focus: Offensive and Defensive Strategies -Rules and Regulations -Positioning and Game Play Example Activities: Mini Tchoukball games Day 6: Tchoukball Game Play Lesson Objectives: Students will play a competitive and fun round of games, with an emphasis on cooperation. Fitness Components: Running around the 2 nd Floor area Lesson focus: Manipulative skills of 4 square Introduction of the formal game of 4 square with modifications Example Activities: 4 square Manipulative game Day 3: Intro to Handball Lesson Objectives: Use Ultimate Frisbee foundations to develop into handball. Fitness Components: - Running Laps Lesson focus: Concept of Handball (Rules of 3) Example Activities: - Keep ball with handball rules Lesson Objectives: Students learn the basics of 4 square and strategies while on offense and defense Fitness Components: Warm up high cardio game Lesson focus: Manipulative skills of 4 square Introduction of the formal game of 4 square with modifications Example Activities: 4 square Manipulative game Health Education: Analyzes results of fitness assessment (pre- & post-), comparing results to fitness components for good health. Day 4: Handball Game play Lesson Objectives: Students will learn to play a mini handball game. Fitness Components: - Circuits Lesson focus: Scoring using mini soccer nets Example Activities: - Handball game without goalkeepers.

Day 1: Trampoline Day 2: Trampoline Unit 5: Trampoline Week 16-18 05/14-06/15 Lesson Objectives: Students learn about the mini trampoline. SWBAT learn how to take care of the equipment and are introduced to the health bounce, hip rock, straight and pike jump Fitness Components: mini trampoline activities Lesson focus: Introduction to mini trampoline fitness workouts Example Activities: Mini Trampoline basic skills with music Health Education: Gives corrective feedback respectfully to peers. SWBAT learn how to take care of the equipment and are introduced to the health bounce, hip rock, straight and pike jump Fitness Components: mini trampoline activities Lesson focus: Introduction to mini trampoline fitness workouts Example Activities: Mini Trampoline basic skills with music Day 4: Flag Tag Review Lesson Objectives: Students will play lead up Football games as an introduction to the formal sport of American Football Fitness Components: - Flag Tag and other high cardio warm up games Lesson focus: Students will review using flags and belts. They will review the application, maintenance and rules associated with using the flags Example Activities: Flag Tag, capture the flag Day 6: Trampoline Routines Lesson Objectives: Students will be able to create their own routine based on what they learned during the trampoline lessons. Fitness Components: Jump Rope Follow the Leader Lesson focus: Trampoline Routines focused on jumping and landing safely and accurately Example Activities: Trampoline Routines include: Balance, transition, trampoline tricks and landing to finish Assessment(s): 10% Participation Score

Day 1: Football Passing and Catching Unit 6: American Football Week 19-20 061-06/29 Day 2: Football Passing and Catching Lesson Objectives: Students practice sending and receiving the football in partners -Students learn how to grip the football and the proper way to throw a spiral Fitness Components: Flag Pulling Sprints Lesson focus: Passing and catching with partners -Students begin playing ultimate with the flags Example Activities: Variations of Flag tag - Basic Passing and Catching - Modified Game Play (No running with ball) Health Education: Accepts, recognizes and actively involves others with both higher and lower skill abilities into physical activities and group projects. Day 3: Positioning and Passing Tree Lesson Objectives: Students review passing and catching and begin learning how to play flag football. Fitness Components: Laps around the 2 nd Floor- Students will jog at a regular pace to the music. The students will try and not walk for the entirety of the song Lesson focus: Positioning- Offensive running patterns and passing/catching -Defensive man-to-man Example Activities: Quarterback-Receiver passing without Defense -2 vs. 2 Games Lesson Objectives: Students learn the basic throwing techniques when passing a football in a game setting Fitness Components: Laps around the 2 nd Floor- Students will jog at a regular pace to the music. The students will try and not walk for the entirety of the song Lesson focus: Passing on the go & Offensive Movement on the floor Example Activities: Passing/Catching (Give and Go s) - Defense(monkey in the middle) -Ultimate Football Day 4: Flag Football Game Play Lesson Objectives: Students learn basic rules and game play involved in flag football Fitness Components: Laps around the 2 nd Floor- Students will jog at a regular pace to the music. The students will try and not walk for the entirety of the song Lesson focus: Offensive and Defensive Lines and small-sided football games Example Activities: Quarterback-Receiver passing with Defense -Passing Tree -4 vs. 4 Games
