SFAS-Symposium 2018 October 4 & 5, 2018 Welcome Letter Dear colleagues We are delighted to host this year s Annual SFAS Symposium on October 5th in Geneva. The 2018 edition will be special, since it will be held within the Annual Congress of EFAS from 4th to 6th October at the Starling Hotel near the airport, thus making it possible for you to benefit from a combined visit of both events. As every year, there will be a rich scientific content around the two topics that you have selected during the general assembly last year, which will be Cavus Foot and Talar Fractures. We are happy to announce that thanks to collaboration and generous contribution of the International Bone Research Association IBRA we are able to offer a Foot & Ankle Wetlab for the second time. Last year s first edition organised by Prof. Dr. Dr. Victor Valderrabano was addressing junior foot & ankle surgeons and was a great success. The 2018 edition will be held on October 4th in Geneva at a brand-new, high-end training facility named Swiss Foundation of Innovation and Training in Surgery (SFITS) located within the University Hospital. Thanks to the cutting edge technology of the facility we will be able to include Arthroscopy and Percutaneous Surgery in the program of our wet lab. This course will be proposed for 24 participants and is designed for advanced foot & ankle surgeons. A special thank you goes to IBRA and our Sponsors Medartis, Medeco and Wright Medical / Tornier, who contribute substantially to making those two events possible. We are looking forward to welcoming you in Geneva! Kind regards Mathieu Assal and Lisca Drittenbass Local organizers of SFAS 2018 Symposium and SFAS 2018 Foot and Ankle Wetlab 2
