Rebecca Begalle, MS, ATC, CSCS Rebecca (Becky) is a fourth year doctoral student in the Interdisciplinary Program in Human Movement Science. She graduated from the Canisius College in Buffalo, NY with a BS degree in Athletic Training and Sports Medicine in 2002. She then completed a one year sports medicine residency with the New Hampshire Musculoskeletal Institute. In 2007, Becky completed her MS degree in Sports Medicine from Plymouth State University in New Hampshire. Before coming to UNC she served as an assistant athletic trainer and exercise science adjunct instructor at Skidmore College in New York. Her main research interest is lower extremity injury prevention and improving long term outcomes after traumatic knee injuries through the study of biomechanics and muscle dysfunction. Shiho Goto, MS, ATC Shiho is a fourth year doctoral student in the Human Movement Science program. She graduated from Central Michigan University (Mt. Pleasant, MI) with a BS in Athletic Training in 1998. In 2009, she completed her Masters degree in Exercise Science with specialization in Athletic Training at the University of Toledo (Toledo, OH). She has previously served as a staff athletic trainer for football, college baseball, and youth soccer teams in Japan from 1999 to 2007. Her research interests include knee and hip neuromuscular control characteristics related to the development of acute and chronic knee injuries.

Julianne D. Toler, MA, ATC Julianne Schmidt is a fourth year doctoral student in the Interdisciplinary Program in Human Movement Science. She graduated from Point Loma Nazarene University with a Bachelor s of Arts in Athletic Training in 2007. In May 2009, she received her Master s of Arts in Exercise and Sports Science in Athletic Training at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Julianne is currently working on dissertation, titled: "The Influence of the Cervical Musculature, Visual performance, and Anticipation on Head Impact Severity in High School and Collegiate Football". Her primary research interests include prevention, management, and treatment sport-related concussion. Julianne is also interested in on-field emergency care of cervical spine injuries. Barnett S. Frank, MA, ATC Barnett Frank MA, LAT, ATC is a third year doctoral student in The Interdisciplinary Program in Human Movement Science with a concentration in sports medicine. In 2010 he completed his graduate work in The Master Arts Athletic Training program at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. During his graduate studies, Barnett worked clinically with the Tar Heels men s soccer and men s and women s track and field programs. During the summer of 2009; between his graduate work, Barnett interned for the Pittsburgh Steelers NFL club (Pittsburgh, PA). Barnett received his Bachelor of Science degree in kinesiology with a concentration in sports medicine/athletic training from Indiana University (Bloomington, IN) in 2008. Barnett s primary research interests are lower extremity injury prevention in athletics and the, as well as the effects of integrated recovery and regeneration strategies on subsequent injury risk and athletic performance.

Elizabeth E. Hibberd, MA, ATC Elizabeth (Lizzie) Hibberd is a third year doctoral student in the Interdisciplinary Program in Human Movement Science. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Athletic Training and Psychology in 2008. In May 2010, she received her Master of Arts Degree in Exercise and Sports Science in Athletic Training at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. While completing her Master s Degree, Lizzie worked clinically with the UNC Swimming and Diving Team and Men s J.V. Basketball team. Her research interests include injury prevention in overhead athletes, upper-extremity movement patterns, and biomechanics of swimming injuries Ashley Littleton, MA, ATC Ashley Littleton is a second year doctoral student in the Interdisciplinary Program in Human Movement Science. She graduated from Salisbury University with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training in 2009. In August 2011, she received her Master of Arts Degree in Exercise and Sports Science, with a specialization in Athletic Training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. While completing her degree, Ashley worked as an athletic trainer with the Men's Lacrosse and Women's Gymnastic teams. Her research interests include sport-related concussion, factors affecting scores on concussion assessment tools and the effect of sportrelated concussion on balance and neurocognitive function.

Derek Pamukoff, MS Derek Pamukoff is a second year doctoral student in the Interdisciplinary Program in Human Movement Science. He graduated from McMaster University (Hamilton, ON, Canada) with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology in 2009. In May 2011, he received a Master of Science Degree in Health and Exercise Science from Wake Forest University (Winston-Salem, NC). During both his undergraduate and graduate career, Derek competed in varsity track and cross-country. Derek has worked extensively with elderly populations while at Wake Forest on the Intensive Diet and Exercise for Arthritis (IDEA) and Lifestyles and Independence For Elders (LIFE) studies using exercise as a tool for preventing and treating chronic disease. His primary research interests lie in neuromuscular and biomechanical contributors to lower extremity disease and injury. His current work focuses on the influence of musculotendinous stiffness in overuse injuries, and using novel interventions such as whole body vibration therapy to treat muscular dysfunction. Missy Fraser, MS, ATC Missy Fraser is a first year doctoral student in the Interdisciplinary Program of Human Movement Science. She graduated from the University of Iowa, in Iowa City, IA, with a Bachelor s of Science in Psychology and Exercise Science with an emphasis in Athletic Training in 1999. She received her Master s of Science in Kinesiology at Pennsylvania State University, in State College, PA, in 2003. After graduation she worked at Texas A&M University-Kingsville from 2003 until 2012 with a short hiatus at St. John s University. Missy s research interests are concerning the long term effects of sport-related concussion.

Rob Lynall, MS, ATC Rob Lynall is a first year doctoral student in the Interdisciplinary Program in Human Movement Science. After completing 5 years of active duty service in the United States Marine Corps, Rob completed his undergraduate degree in Athletic Training from Illinois State University. In 2012, he received his Master s of Science degree in Athletic Training from Illinois State University. While completing his Master s degree, Rob worked as an athletic trainer with the football team at Illinois State.
