Needs Assessment (May-December 2015) PHASE 1

Guiding Principles

Program Design (January 2016-August 2017) PHASE 2

Phase 2 - Program Design 1) Guiding Principles finalized 2) Develop Curricular Structure: Step 1: Determine Curriculum Development Model Step 2: Develop Program Competency Framework Step 3: Determine Program Sequence and Clusters Step 4: Align with Existing Program Step 5: Prototype Development- White Papers

Integrated Courses Students will learn more if the material is meaningful and relevant to them and their perceived role as a dentist (Oliver, 2008). Ensure that basic sciences and clinical learning occur within close proximity (Kulasegaram, 2013). Each session and its associated content should create explicit and discernable linkages for learners (Kulasegaram, 2013).
