(14/2018)-118 In Żalin Kolonia village, in municipality of Ruda Huta, chełmski district, Lubelskie region, in the area listed in the part II of the Annex to CID 2014/709/EU; The number of pigs kept at the holding 10 pigs, (including: 6 fattening pigs, 4 piglets ); First deaths 10.06, 1 pig; samples taken from 1 dead pig and 1 sick Confirmation on 12.06; Killing and disposal 13.06; Distance from the border with UA 4,9 km.

Results of epizootic investigation - possible source of ASFv introduction into the holdings: non compliance with biosecurity rules; lack of disinfection mats (outbreak No 110); non compliance with biosecurity rules; lack of fence in the holding (outbreak No 112); non compliance with biosecurity rules during human activity in the area contaminated with ASF virus (outbreaks No: 109, 111, 113, 115); suspiction of the illegal movement of pigs of unknown origin (outbreak No 114). Epidemiological investigations still ongoing.
