Magnesium SCIENTISTS HAVE CALLED MAGNESIUM THE ANTI-STRESS MINERAL AND A BALSAM FOR THE NERVES AND MUSCLES. MAGNESIUM IS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT MINERALS AND IS ESSENTIAL FOR GOOD HEALTH. EXPERTS HAVE DETERMINED THAT THE RECOMMENDED DAILY ALLOWANCE OF MAGNESIUM FOR ADULTS IS 375 MG. The body carefully regulates the amount of magnesium. If cells begin to lack magnesium, the body replaces it from its own stores from the bones and the liver. If the body spends more magnesium than it can replace, the general signs of a magnesium deficiency appear: constipation, loss of appetite, feeling unwell, fatigue, low energy, muscle spasms, pins and needles, irritability, sleep disorders, headaches, poor concentration and psychological changes. Severe deficiency is very rare. While a minor magnesium deficiency is accompanied by problems only in rare cases, these tend to persist once they occur. Most of these symptoms are very general and can be due to other medical conditions, not just a magnesium deficiency. If you notice any of these symptoms, talk to your doctor to ensure you get timely, expert help. ANG_Brosura_Magnezij_150x150_V1.indd 2 25/08/2014 11:04

Causes of magnesium deficiency include: Modern food production and processing, which leads to a decreased content of magnesium and other minerals in foods, can lead to a lack of magnesium in a modern diet. A poor, unbalanced diet and certain fad diets. Certain medications, illnesses (type 2 diabetes, for example) and alcohol addiction. Stress and a fast-paced, stressful lifestyle increase the body s need for magnesium. The elderly often experience magnesium deficiency, due in part to decreased intake and decreased absorption and increased secretion through the kidneys. Insufficient absorption and the loss of magnesium through the digestive tract following certain surgical procedures, or in certain conditions accompanied by diarrhoea, can lead to a magnesium deficiency. To alleviate these problems: Healthy, natural and non-processed foods. Eat a lot of green vegetables, whole-wheat grains and sprouts, and include nuts in your diet. Avoid excessive alcohol consumption. Exercise regularly and avoid stress. ANG_Brosura_Magnezij_150x150_V1.indd 5 25/08/2014 11:04

The role of magnesium in your body: Essential in situations and periods marked by an increased need for magnesium (intensive growth, breast-feeding, pregnancy) Takes part in more than 300 biochemical processes in the human organism Helps reduce fatigue and exhaustion Contributes to normal psychological functions Contributes significantly to electrolyte balance Helps release energy from metabolism Contributes to the functioning of the nervous system Contributes to normal muscle functions, including the heart muscle Helps keep bones and teeth healthy Plays a role in cell division and protein synthesis ANG_Brosura_Magnezij_150x150_V1.indd 6 25/08/2014 11:04

How Donat Mg helps with magnesium deficiency: A single litre of Donat Mg contains around 1000 mg of magnesium. As little as 3 or 4 dl of Donat Mg natural mineral water is enough to meet the recommended daily allowance of magnesium. Donat Mg natural mineral water is recommended in combination with a varied and balanced diet as part of a healthy lifestyle. How much magnesium is in Donat Mg natural mineral water? 1200 1000 800 600 400 > 1000 The magnesium content in one litre of Donat Mg is enough for three days! 200 0 375 Recommended daily intake for adults (in mg) The magnesium content in one litre of Donat Mg (in mg) ANG_Brosura_Magnezij_150x150_V1.indd 9 25/08/2014 11:04

Why is the magnesium found in Donat Mg so effective? Although there are a number of dietary supplements that contain magnesium, the best way to put magnesium into the body is through water, as the minerals in water are in their most natural form (the form of their ions). This allows the organism to use them immediately. Donat Mg... not just magnesium, but a whole lot more Besides magnesium, Donat Mg natural mineral water also contains large amounts of hydrogen carbonate, sulphates, calcium and other minerals.
